Favorite 80's movie?? - Page 2

I could probably make a list, but it comes down to this: I have to second and third THE NEVERENDING STORY! Dang, that one goes down in history. Did anyone ever read the book? The movie story-line only make up about half the book. There was a whole lot more to the story.

Is Fletch an 80s movie?

My little brothers and I watched Goonies so much when we were little that our older brother now despises it and cannot watch it.

Heck yeah to most everything mentioned already.

DD just watched Adventures in Babysitting for the first time. We laughed so hard! It was cool sharing that with her.

My Top 5 movies of the 80's are, Overboard with Goldie Hawn and Kurt Russel, Big trouble in little china with Kurt Russel again and Kim Cattrall, labyrinth with David Bowie and Jennifer Connelly, and......... Hairspray with Ricki Lake!!! Did you know she was in a new movie "Mattersof Life and Dating"and she is super skinny now!! Also another actress in the movie with her is the gf i think from the show Hanging with Mr. Cooper!!! It makes me feel so old. I can't wait to see it.

O/T but what was the name that the little boy yells at the end? The name her gave the princess? I've watched the movie a dozen times (love it) and I can never catch the name.

I love the ones I bolded. The only movie with Molly Ringwald in it that I could stand was The Breakfast Club (possibly my favourite 80s movie of them all).

Add anything with Arnie or Stallone.

I liked The Lost Boys, even though there were one or two scenes that made me want to puke (mostly the campfire at the beginning) and I'm not generally a vampire fan.

Goonies was good.
Footloose was good.

I like Dirty Dancing (my guilty pleasure) and Princess Bride (wonderful), but didn't discover either of them until the 80s were long over.

I can't think of anything else right now, and can't really remember what movies I love from the 80s vs. the 90s (I used to devour Swayze movies like candy - probably the only reason I can stand Dirty Dancing). But, in general, I like action movies the best, and the "classic" 80s comedy (Pretty in Pink, Weird Science, etc.) the least.

...and I'm not a dh.

Always wondered myself. For some reason I thought it was his mom's name, whatever that may have been (by movie standards). Honestly though, I couldn't tell you. Maybe someone here knows.

I have been wondering this for about 20 years now. My friend and I watched this movie about a thousand times. I assume it's his mom's name, but no clue what he says.
Most of my faves have been mentioned, except one of my all time faves, Dead Poets Society.
LOVE LOVE LOVE Lost Boys!! The two Coreys were great, and Sean Patrick was SO hot.
