Contractions

Thread Starter
I'm having them more often, but I'm not seeing any sort of pattern to them. They feel a bit like BH but I'm having pressure down low with them, too. With both G & S, my ctxs started out 2.5 minutes apart and felt like menstrual cramps. My docs told me that they may feel different this time, not as intense, since my uterus is so over stretched and has more to contract around.

All I know is I'm not going in until I can't walk or talk through them anymore (and they're no where near that bad now).

Here's what I've written down the last hour:

2:09
2:24
2:49
2:55
3:12
3:26

Are you ready? Should I be sending birthing vibes or sticky baby vibes??:

Ready! (But, I don't think this is it. I HOPE, but don't want to get my hopes up, kwim?)

Ooooo...so exciting! I hope they amount to something!

Did you see the contraction tracker that Gina posted about the other day? If your're on the computer anyway it's an easy way to track them. I think it was contractionmaster.com ???

Oooooh! Yay! I am hopping out to have lunch with a friend. Hopefully I will hear more about them getting stronger when I get back!

Oooo...how exciting! I hope it's the real thing. Please keep us updated. I've been waiting to light my candle (missed it last time.)

Saw your post and I'm hoping for you that this does keep up! Come on baby girls! We all want to meet you and your mama has done a super job keeping you in for this long already.

Aw man, I really hope these keep up for you! I know the pain of having them and then watching them fade (and the insanity the wondering brings)

Agreed on the not being able to talk through them issue, that is the guide that my MW is still sticking with for me too.

Best wishes, either for them to progress before you get worn out, or for them to settle down if this isn't the right time yet. We'll be thinking about you!

Thanks, mamas. I will keep you posted. I had them for about 2 hours or so last night and then they stopped, so, like I said, I'm trying not to read too much into this.

Should probably go fold the laundry in the dryer and wash the dishes, just in case.

Keep us posted Lindsey!

Must be a little hard knowing that they may feel "different" than before. Anyway - will be thinking of you.

They started to peter out around 6:30, and I've had about 2 since then.

Ugh!

Sending vibes that they pick up again. Send them back when you're done with them tho, because for some reason I would really like to have this baby this weekend. I've been having the same kind of contractions. Not BH, very low and with pressure, sometimes with some backpain and even radiating into my thighs. I have never had prodromal labor, don't knwo what to make of this. Geeze, I hate being confused, I am a planner...
Anyhoo, good luck with everything!

Ahhh....that's okay Lindsey...you're babies just don't want to leave me too much behind.

Today I've been having so much pushing/punching/pressure on my cervix....not fun AT ALL. I don't even want to get up because every time I get up from sitting it HURTS!

Get to bed early and rest up, just in case!

That's it, Stacie!

I have a NST in 2 hours, so I'll be interested to see if they pick back up and how they look on the monitor.
