We have such cool names here. I know we've learned about some of them from the MOTW threads, but not everyone. Plus, I've forgotten. Pregnancy brain, ya know.

Mine comes from a nickname given to me by my beloved university friends: Monster, a derivative of my name, Monica. The boogie is fairly self-explanatory, but it's important that it's boogie (as in woogie) and not bogey (as in spooky). Well, important to me, anyhow.

Whee, this is fun!

My nickname (bestowed by my husband) is Curly. Years and years ago when I signed up for Bookcrossing, Curly was already taken, so I modified it to Curlita. And that became my screen name for just about every on-line community I've been part of.

Mine's simple- I have a daughter nick-named Pixie and I'm her mommy!

FYI- I don't know if it's across the board in the southern US, but everyone in my family/friend circle uses the "boogiemonster" to mean the devil. It's used to scare kids not to do things..... like if you lie to your parents, the boogiemonster will get you. Yikes!

Ha ha, you must have wondered why on earth I would want that for a username.

Mine is so simple and boring. It's my name. Wow.

I think I tried for Momster and it was taken. I didn't feel like putting numbers or something after it.

My first one here that I used only a couple of times was Whackers Mama or something like that. Whacker is a nickname for my son Jack.

I've also often used Ginx or Ginxy on boards.

Mine is my dog's name, but inspired by the irish folk song that goes "mares eat oats and does eat oats and little lambs eat ivy". All my life, till I was 26, I thought the words were "maisiedotes and doseydotes and little lambsey disey".

Mine is taken from the New Testament of the Bible (Matthew 25:21).

maisiedotes, I love that song.

When DS was little and I became a member of MDC he had the *chubbiest* cheeks, hence my username. Now he is a 4YO bean pole, lol. I miss those days!

"Googy" is my DD's made-up word for "dirty." It is so cute when she says it that it has become a standard vocabulary word in my extended family--even my parents and my sister and her husband (who don't have kids) regularly use "googy" in place of "dirty!"

nothing fancy, just my name and an initial

I was thinking boogie as in booger. My kids hate it when I come at their noses to clean them out! But, yes, the boogie monster around here is the devil or at least a very bad person/spirit/demon.

As to my screen name, I work for WIC. Most of the women I know call me The WIC Lady when they're telling people I'm coming for a home visit or talking about the breastfeeding education or classes I do. I don't make female friends very easily IRL. People seem to like me, just not want to hang out... And my job lets me talk about my favorite subjects all day: Babies and Breastfeeding.

I started calling my mom Mamma Llama for no good reason while I was in high school. Now she's GrandmaLlama, I'm the LittleLlama and her sister is AuntieLlama (And my mom's DP is Kent-o-rama )

lol- For a long time I thought the song sounded like that to me too. It's a sweet screen name.

Bloomingmomma makes sense to me because I'm becoming a mama for the first time, actually a MoM (mother of multiples) and it makes me happy to remind myself that this is a natural and beautiful process. I'm also an herbalist- have been really passionate about it for 18 years. I'm a lover of plants and of course of their flowers.

My dog's (rotties) nickname is Gooey. She always has goo in her eyes. The RN is what I do at work. I already had this username at a nursing forum I frequent, so I thought it would be easy to keep the same name so I don't forget it.

Mine is just my first and middle name. I never come up with fun screen names.

Well, the Ed part is short for Edwina, cause most people just go with Ed.

The renaissance part is because I can't make up my mind about what I want to do with my life aside from have and raise kids, and I wish that I was born during the renaissance when the option of knowing everything about everything was much easier and you could be a scientist-artist-musician-scholar-writer.
