FINALLY getting some stuff done

OK, not MUCH stuff, but my list is slowly getting shorter. I went to Target today and got 2 nursing tanks and some breast pads. I just ordered some breastfeeding stuff from earthmamaangelbaby, and got 2 pairs of yoga pants for the hospital. I started packing my bags and even washed alot of the baby's clothes! As I mentioned in another thread, almost all the household stuff like painting just isn't going to get done so rather than spend my energy and stress on that stuff I should be getting done the more important stuff.

I am not having a shower till after the baby is born and unfortunately alot of the stuff we need when she is born is on our registry so we have more stuff to buy... like disposable diapers and stuff for the first few weeks. *sigh*

Question: at how many weeks do babies usually go into a regular crib (out of a basinette or infant crib)? It may be a month or 2 before my shower... if I have to go buy a crib mattress I am going to tweak.

I'm probably the worst person to answer since my ds never took to his crib or co-sleeper but I thought it was around 3 months? I think they have weight limits and maybe restrictions about when they can roll over.

We didn't move Dylan out of his bassinette until he was about 3 months old, and that was mainly because he was getting too mobile and it's an antique crib. So once he could scootch himself to the side and start fiddling with it, I didn't want him in it anymore because it's wicker and has lots of finger-pinchy places.

If it's a newer bassinet (and not a finger pinchy one ) then I assume 3-5 months before baby is too mobile, big and scoochy to stay in a bassinet. I remember my kids scooched on theor backs up against the side of anything they were in, but can't remember what age.

Yay! I'm glad you made a list and glad it's getting shorter! Sounds like you got a lot of stuff done.

Crib?

Why not co-sleep and not worry about it?

It is a matter of convincing DH... I am working on it but I don't feel like I am making much progress.
