the male name of Bodhe/Bodhi

looks like Bodhe isn't spelled Bodhe but is spelled BODHI??? anyone familiar w/ this name? i believe this is a buddhist term for arriving at a state of enlightment/awakening. i kind of dig this as this is how i feel now...liberated and more awake to what i will and will not tolerate for my children and myself...

I'm thinking of this for Sheamas' middle name... Sheamas Bodhi. i liked Bodhe best but maybe that isn't spelled right and used at all? hmmmm...

well i think i may go take advantage of the hotel's hot tub.............

Bodhi is Hindi/Budhist/Indian (from India, not Native American).

Meaning: Awakening or Enlightenment

A zen dictionary says, "Wisdom, in the sense of enlightenment. It is not accumulated knowledge, is not attainment, is not something found, but is realization of the essential truth."

Seems fitting for what you're going through right now.

I like the spelling Bodhi and think that it goes really well with Sheamas. The meaning and the sound both work well!

This is my top choice name and I love it, but alas, DH is not on the same page. I like the spelling "Bodhi" the best. I'm still pulling for it for our middle name. Our first name is similar to Seamus, BTW (can't tell anyone til the little guy is here!). I think your name choice is great!
