Ok, if you saw my post in the names thread, you know we're totally stuck on a girl's name. I hesitated on making a poll, but after I read through the rest of the DDC's name choices I realized I like your taste in names, so I thought I'd throw some out there and ask for opinions.

Here are a few representative choices, but obviously nothing is set in stone so I'm open to suggestions/rearrangement too.

Our last name is a four syllable, Italian name beginning with the letter A. (why do I feel like a game show host all of a sudden??)

Honey, I can't vote, they are all great! I might come back for this one later, I have to think about it. We seem to have the same taste for girls names I wouldn't be able to decide!!!
I might keep your choices in mind should our boy turn out to be a girl (tho it was pretty clear on the U/S). Not to add to your confusion, but how do you like "Klara"?

I like Klara (personally prefer it with a 'C'), but DH called it a cow's name. :

Not 'cow' as in a derogatory name for a larger-than-average woman, but a name for an actual bovine. How many cows can you know if you were born in Brooklyn like DH was??

I can't vote, either! I like them all!

Those are great names. I voted for Juliana Rose, but now thinking about your last name starting with an A, I'm not sure. How does Juliana A--- sound together?

Stella is one of my favourite girl names. (Huge 20th century drama fan) So of course I had to vote for it.

I really like all of them except Stella (same reason as Aimee except for the 'fan' part). Juliana's been a fave of mine since I was 12, and Claire (or Clara/Klara) and Gabriela are also great names.

I, too, would hesitate about ending a first name with A if your last name begins with A though.

I like Clara too. I was thinking Clara Gabriela, but if your last name starts with A, you don't want the middle name to end in A.... How about Clara Gabrielle? :

I like all of them!!!

What does your last name end in? I was thinking if it ends in an "a" sound, then that might affect my choice.

I'm taking this very seriously.

I chose Claire, because it's one of my favourite names, but they're all fabulous. Honestly. I think your little girl would be proud to be called any of them.

Last name ends in an 'i'. I have some reservations about the whole end in 'a' thing myself, because of the sound. That's why one of my favorite names (Anna) isn't on the list. It just wouldn't work with our last name, which is similar in sound to Amdovini. (just not comfortable giving out the actual last name, especially after my rant a few weeks back about my SIL )

Thanks for all the input so far!

i like all of the names, but i chose Claire because i think that any of the other girls names, ending in A could sound strange with a last name starting with A ... but i guess that all depends on what the last name is

Hi Hope you don't mind me weighing in, since I'm not in your DDC. I voted for Claire Josephine, because my daughter's name is Josephine I love that name.

Claire is a bit too popular for my tastes. I voted for Stella.

I really like Stella Grace. Those were both top pics for me but dh vetoed them.

I voted for Claire Josephine, also like Clara. I almost voted for Stella, I love that as well.
