I might be the only one doing a nursery, but thought I might as well ask lol. Here are pics of my half mainstream/half crunchy nursery.
It's totally gender stereotyped, but it's filled w/ cloth diapers and there is no crib in it

Anyone else too excited to not decorate?

It looks awesome!!!!

We kinda sorta have the room decorated.... and the cradle my grandfather made is in there for now, but we'll be moving it into our bedroom in the next week or two so that it's here and ready! My mom thinks it's hilarious that we've decorated a room for the purpose of diaper changing and nursing...

I haven't taken any pictures of the room only b/c it's so small that taking pictures is hard in there! lol

Aimee-

I forgot to tell you in my previous post that I love your nursery! It is so cute. It had to be so much fun to do a girly room. Love it.

Wow! Your rooms are so cute! I'll try to take a picture of the baby's room today and post it.

Heather, don't forget to take out the stuffed animals before you put the baby in the crib.

Cute rooms guys!! We did a nursery with a fish theme for our first, but have since moved to a new house. We have a room for the baby this time as well, but really more for just diaper changing and the like as you Mamas mentioned. Right now the cats get a lot of use out of it, lol, just like the crib we had with DS!

Melissa-Thank you for the reminder. I definately will take the stuffed animals out. They are just there as place holders and to look cute for now. We will keep the baby in our bedroom for now, so I am not really sure that we will even use the crib. When we were buying furniture I felt the room needed the crib, darn mainstream pressure .

Aww I love the Pooh theme! I plan on getting the crib that matches the dresser in the near future. It converts to a toddler and full size bed, so it would work until she moves out.

We have a nursery that is all painted but not cleared out with all the storage... and not quite set up the way we want. I will post soon though- it will get me on the horn to GET IT DONE once and for all! I feel like I can't totally finish because we don't have a crib mattress yet and I have not figured out where to put the wallies...

HeatherMarie, I LOVE that changing table! OMG. It is so pretty and functional!

OK, good. I'm glad you weren't offended by my safety inspector comment! I hate that all the stores display cribs with pillows and stuffed animals, hugely overstuffed crib bumpers, and a quilt hanging off the side. I bet a lot of people put their babies down in that "picture-perfect" crib. :

Aimee, that is an awesome pink! And that chair looks very cozy for nursing. And Heather, I have almost that green in my older son's room and really like it.

Hmmm, I put my husband in charge of nursery pictures so that I could post them tonight, but I guess he didn't understand the precise essence of what I wanted him to capture. Not that I can blame him.

Here is half the room, minus the changing table. I'm very excited about the lamp and the dresser knobs. I made the curtains and covered the old glider cushions... we are trying to decide what impact all the bright colors will have. I suspect that child may have seizures, my mother says he may be hyperactive, and Jonny says he will probably have a strong desire to join the circus.

And don't worry, Safety Inspector Melissa, we will take down the quilt before putting baby in the crib.

Those rooms look great. I don't have an extra room for the baby, we have a three bedroom, so no decorating for me! However I think I am replacing the urge by re-doing the playroom. I have stuff coming, so maybe I will post some pics of it when it is done!

What, can't we just stack the baby on top of it? :P

For some reason this reminds me of when I was a smart-ass high school student working in a grocery store and offered to pack peoples' chips on the bottom of the bag to save space...

Aimee, your nursery looks awesome!!! I would hire you to decorate our baby room if we were having one and if we had the money to do so. That's exactly how I would have my baby's room if she was going to have one.

OK, I finally took pictures. I feel kinda bad just reusing all of DD's stuff, but what the heck, we saved a ton of money by doing that. Imagine a sage green glider (currently in DD's room, needs to be moved into baby's room) in the corner by the floor lamp. The changing table was made by my brother for DD--how cool is that? It matches our crib.

Speaking of the crib, here it is, in pieces. We're not sure if we're going to try to use it for naps in the baby's room or side-car it to our bed or what. It's so annoying to set it up and take it down again (and we have done this already probably 7 or 8 times with DD and two moves), so we're just waiting until we meet this baby and see how well she sleeps out of my arms before we set it up YET AGAIN. (Why do they not make cribs to fit through doorways?! Argh!)

And that is the bassinet we will put beside our bed.

You can also see the great sacrifice I'm making by sharing my yoga space with this baby! (In the background is my sacred yoga nook.)

That's an awesome changing table! I love the raised part for the lamp.
