Birth Dream *cry*stress*

I dreamed my little baby was born, like now. She wasn't a girl and for some reason we had absolutely NO clothes for him. What's worse was that we didn't even have a car seat and had to LEAVE HIM AT THE HOSPITAL
The pigment on his face was all splotchy (I forget what that's called) to a very severe degree and for some reason, it was my fault, like something I did during pregnancy made it that way. (She's already prone to a cleft palate since DH has one, so I'm extra sensitive about baby's face)

To top it off the high school marching band started practicing just a block away so every scene in my dream had a drumline following me around and I had to practice (I was in color guard in HS) my drill sets with them without my baby :

I've had some odd/vivid dreams myself. Don't let yourself worry too much hon!

Aw.... Sounds like a normal anxiety dream to me. Probably just some fears about not being prepared, probably bc you are doing a LOT to be prepared! Don't worry!

I have been having the weirdest dreams in the last week or so! Last night I dreamed I accidentally killed someone by strangling her and I was hoping no one would notice, running away and totally unapologetic like, "But I didn't mean to...." How messed up is that? I think that one is about how good intentions are not enough and that you have to take responsibility for your actions even when they don't turn out the way you intended. Hmmmmmm. I wonder what that's all about.

I've had dreams all through the pregnancy that the baby was born and we left her somewhere and missed the bonding time. We'd come back and she'd be 2 and I'd be so sad!!

Sorry you had such a sad dream! I'm sure all this anxiety is totally normal.

I had a dream that the baby came and I hadn't washed anything yet, so she had to be totally naked all the time. And in my dream I didn't know how to do anything baby related. She latched on pretty good though.

I actually don't have a car seat yet, so this stress is based on reality!

I'm sorry you had such an anxiety provoking dream.

I had a weird birth dream last night. Baby was born at the birth center and everything went fine, but it was odd. Nobody checked the baby out. Just left her to me. So, I diapered and dressed her, she had a super skinny bottom and my newborn diapers were on the tightest setting (this could actually happen, dd2 was that way), then I put a sleeper on her. She had lots of very blonde hair. But it was night, so her and I went to sleep after that. I remember cuddling with her and she smelled like heaven! There was nobody there with me. After awhile, she woke and I nursed her, side-laying, and of course, it worked out perfectly (which is so not reality!). But then dh comes in and says, it's morning, we wanted to let you sleep, so we didn't bother you, but I have to go to work now. I was so pissed that he was leaving me only hours after her birth, that he wasn't even driving me home. I begged him to call in and take the day off and he wouldn't.

I think I have a pretty good idea what that's all about for me. I'm very stressed about what will happen when he goes back to Iraq and I'm all alone with all 3 kids.
