Dollar Store items - not sure where to post??

Help please! I'm not sure where the best place is to post this...but I was wondering what you all thought. I am very AGAINST items from the Dollar Store...well...most anyway...especially since most are made in China. So, my dad bought my boys flashlights there as a toy...they just love flashlights..especially to take in bed at night and they don't have to share ...but man...do they SMELL like CHEMICALS!!! It really freaks me out! I hate having to take away a new toy they just got and love...but everything about it smells toxic...I've noticed that about other items from there and at other stores...some plastics/rubber just smell so much worse than others.

So...is it toxic?? I know it can't be good to be breathing that?! Especially when your hands smell after touching it! Help!:

I know exactly what you're talking about! It's a horrible chemical smell. I even bought some packaging tape from there once (tape usually smells) but this was really strong. I couldn't use it. I don't shop at them now but it's definately something to think about.
