Just got my beco!

I'm so excited! This was my one splurge for this pg. I have everything I need (I think) since this is #3, but I've been eyeing the beco forever. My mom came through and got me one and I just got it in the mail. Can't wait to see how baby actually fits.

What is a beco?

It's a ssc carrier. So like a mei tie with buckles instead of straps. I've got back issues and big babies so I like the idea of being able to center this babe a bit more with more support than my slings/pouches give me.

Ok, that's cool. I just had no idea what one looked like as I had never heard of one before.

Thanks for linking us!

I just got mine, too! I really didn't NEED another carrier (we have an old worn out Baby Bjorn), but my coworkers got it for me (at my request). I got the bird design, too and I LOVE it. I got it home and we tried it out as a backpack with my 4 1/2 year old (he's only about 37 lbs). Works great! (of course, I can't get it on over my belly). The infant insert is so cozy and soft. Now I just need a baby to put in it.

Congrats mamas! I might have to get one with my poor back. But then, with hubby coming home he will be happy to sling baby and give me breaks!

I loooooove my Beco. While we were on vacation, i figured out I could still wear it while pregnant, not that it was too flattering. They're awesome for those of us who grow big big kids quick and have back problems to boot. DS is well over 30 pounds and won't be 2 till December, but I could still hike around with him way more comfortably and symetrically than I could with a sling.

I've been considering a Beco but DH will probably flip if I bring another carrier in the house (shhh, I just ordered an Aubergine Waves Didy Ring Sling but he doesn't know that - had to have it since we're really into RS now and DD loves purple and my only other RS is silk which isn't always practical when carrying around a toddler with muddy shoes).

The Beco you got Isosmom is such a pretty pattern! You will really love it. I've borrowed one on occasion and find them comfy and easy to use.

not in your DDC sorry for the butt-in, but I love my beco. I have also worn my almost 3 year old in it while pregnant, but underneath the belly.

it's not my favorite carrier for a newborn, but it definitely is for 6+ months!
