packing the BABY diaper bag1

Ok so I am in full nest mode today -- have a house cleaner working now, DH and DS out of the way.

I need to finish up the baby diaper bag -- which will be my main bag. Theo has a bag of his won -- so he can go with Daddy and go to babysitters and so on ..... (his has food, diapers, extra clothing, a sun hat, sun block and so on and so on ... a couple of toys and books)

the main diaper bag, i am calling baby bag (vs Theo bag which is also still a diaper bag it will be with me all the time.

so I have

• baby diapers
• diaper area spray wash
• diaper cream
• wet wipe
• cloth wipes
• extra blanket
• extra oneis
• extra socks
• extra breast pads for momma
• wet-wipe cleaning towles (not for baby, for places)
• burp rags

• a couple of Theo diapers

i know i need to add

• a small ziplock of theo snacks

it doesn't seem like everything i carried for Theo though -- for the life of me i can't remember whatelse to pack ........ was i that obsessive before, and am i that laid back now?

What am i forgetting that YOU carry in a baby-diaper bag....

I think the only other thing I have in mine that you didn't list is a wet bag or plastic bag for dirty dipes/clothes.

ETA: Yeah, what Laura said. I have 2 extra sleepers in mine.

Besides a wet bag, can't really think of anything. I've only ever delivered at birth centers though where I just stay for a few hours, so it's different than packing for 2 days or so. My brain isn't in the mode for packing for 2 days. But the list looks pretty comprehensive.

Oh, baby mitts. You always need those the first week. And baby clippers. I use to work in a postpartum unit at a hospital and people were always borrowing these two things from the prepared mamas.
