When I saw your house, I thought man that looks like the home that my grandparents used to live in in Houston. It was a neighborhood by Cypress Springs HS. Know where that is?

That is funny! We built this house so it's not the house your grandparents lived in
However, we do live in the Cypress area Cypress Falls HS is right around the corner, my oldest goes there
I wonder if we had the same builder?
The wall with the apple numbers is a half wall separating the school room and my office, my DH built it. On the office side it has cubbies that hold clothes.

The pictures you see in the background on the left have been replaced with the alphabet border and the calendar underneath it

ETA: I see you live in Missouri.
I went to HS in Kansas City, went to college in St. Louis and had my first two while living in O'Fallon outside of St. Charles. Any chance you live near any of that?

I wouldn't say ours is inspirational, but we do most of our learning out & about : As I said before, our old house(s) had a nicer set-up for us, but such is life when you have to live with extended family We have some fun plans brewing for the next house, though! Here's a bit of both playroom + bedroom....

I have some pics in my blog in my sig, although I don't think they give a good feel for the room. I'll see if I can find some more. Basically, we have a big blackboard on one wall, we used blackboard paint. Then we have a reading nook in what would be a closet normally, a big round table in the middle, some shelves, and one wall to display artwork.

the and more and more on the side are the rest of the pic's. i'm not sure if the link goes directly to the school pic's or not...so you may have to look on the side and search a little. maybe, i'll get them on photobucket soon.

nice room! really organized!

i want to lazure the wall with the bookcases on it and get the computer out of there and possibly bring the playstand in there. i took most of the toys out as it was too crowded and certain members of our "school" were playing when they should be working. I have some things to occupy the little ones, mostly educational, close to the ground where they usually are. Those two white dressers are jammed and I do mean jammed with art supplies and the boxes underneath, though organized, are just packed with more supplies!:the door is a magnetic chalkboard and we have magnets on the opposite side. I have bookshelves in the little room just outside of the door as the room was feeling too cluttered when they were in there. I am going to turn that into our library area. I have beautiful antique desks in my living room I keep asking dh to move down, but his back has been bugging him...too heavy hockey bags and kids I quess!

Try http://del.icio.us/ ! It's really great. I have a huge number of bookmarks, and with the tags I can find almost all of them again.

i actually just started my very first blog and i have a favorite resources link (ha ha, with like 4 links so far - it's SO time consuming and my kids gravitate to me when i attempt to add to it!!). i'm going to slowly go through and organize my favorite websites and resources there, so that i can actually find them and use them!!!!
