Target Ad

I just read an online Target banner that said:

Quote:
Everytime you shop at Target, 5% of our income goes back into your community.

Why would they be advertising that?

If you shop local, about 80% of the money comes back into the community!

They're talking about 5% of all of their profits are put into funding for local programs and such. And considering how much business they do, that 5% for each and every community they have stores in is a sizeable chunk of change, certainly nothing to laugh at.

I suppose. I just wish we had more local oppertunitys to support our communitys. But because of stores like Target, the small companys cant survive.

I have a soft spot for local business.
