Train Birth in Boston

What is wrong with people? Why would they assume she was crazy because she didn't scream her head off and let strangers touch her baby? She doesn't seem all that nuts to me.
And taking a baby away from its mother? Now how is she ever going to nurse? Seems to me they are causing more damage.

I don't know, she seems a bit "off" to me... letting the baby drop and slide across the floor? While she stared out the window?

I think they're right to perform a psych eval on her before they send her home with a newborn. It doesn't sound like they'll taking the baby away from her if she passes. She hasn't done anything abusive, but it does seem a bit odd and I'm glad they're checking her out mentally before the subject her kids to someone with a possibly serious mental illness. JMO Its a very strange story.

I think they are completely right to do the eval....the letting the baby drop out and slide across a dirty train floor, not immediately moving to pick it up, running up the stairs, letting her placenta drop out and then stuffing it into her purse? It seems to be much more than just not wanting strangers to touch her baby.

Plus, there were some prior issues with the pregnancy, in terms of her denying that she was pregnant.

I think only good can come from evaluating her...

Very odd to me...I feel that if I were in that situation I surely would want to catch my baby w/ my hands instead of having him slide around on a public floor.

And if strangers witnessing the act had offered their seats to me afterwards, heck yeah, I 'd take it. I'd be in shock as well.

I do hope that she will get some aid or help. I do hope that all her children are returned to her.
