Still checking in on you.

i am still thinking of you, too

Called in my false alarm this morning - right when dh left for work I started getting contractions that pulled right across this spot in the middle of my belly - same spot that hurt so bad with #1, same spot that I started feeling immediately with the pitocin with #2 - so I thought "this is it." 5 min apart for 1 hour - kids started waking up and I could feel that I wasn't going to stay relaxed with the kids so I called dh to come home. They started spacing out - I went back to bed for 2 hours, then we took a walk at the park, went to lunch, came back for another nap - we have a prenatal appointment with the midwife in 30 min. Why am I so darn sensitive?! I swear I could just feel a switch click when dd started waking up. I'm *hoping* that all the rest I got today will let me go back into labor tonight when the kids go to sleep. Otherwise, dh said he's got his work set up so he can work remotely from home - maybe if he can just stay with me, I'll be able to relax into it.

Sending speedy labor vibes!!

Well, midwives told me they knew it was hard, but I need to just ignore everything. They probably don't know it, but they are doing the most to assist me right now. I've decided this early labor stuff is the hardest part for me. Once I get rolling, I know how to deal with that, but it seems to take alot of support to get me through this emotional early labor time. I feel like I'm calling upon everybody to keep me going - you all are a big part of that too - thanks for all the positive thoughts!

You can do it!!!!

You are doing so great with being patient mama! I know those last few days and weeks of, is this it? can be so tough.

I think I'm sensitive too; I have been wondering a lot this pg if it would even be possible for me to labour when our dc are awake. I just can't imagine being able to shut off my knowledge of their needs (and then not being able to focus on the birth). Last night i thought I might be beginning, but I went to sleep and woke up still pg, although my contractions continued until shortly before dinner. I had dh bring everything I'll need upstairs last night.

I think this pre-labour stuff is definitely the hardest part. I'm excited for the labour, ready to embrace it, but this stuff is really no fun at all.

I've been thinking of you often and hoping you are well. I'm checking up often!
