Who's online? Anyone contracting with me? - Page 2

I'm still around too. Still lots of crampiness and contractions. Mornings she seems to let me rest, around now is when it all kicks back up. By evenings I'm curled up, sure this must be it, cuz it's so strong.

I told ds Tuesday that how I've been feeling is how I felt each (of the 3) times I had cervidil before the boys' births. None of the times did I dialate after that. But within 12 or so hours my water broke and had baby. But now it's been on going and still have water and baby!

We have our 39w (and 2 days) check up today. I know dh is going to be listening carefully, two weeks ago they said this is the week they'd be bringing up any 'help' options if the contractions had kept up this whole time, and they have, so I'm sure they'll offer stuff. Not sure what I want to do though. So far, cervidil has worked great in the past for us, we've never needed to actually have the induction to finish it, but I still hate to commit to that, since their policy is once they start it, you can't just change your mind and leave.

So fingers crossed that she just does it herself between now and then lol

I don't know how people do this for weeks and weeks on end. I've had another day of regular then irregular waves. I an appointment this morning and everything looks good. My midwife says she hopes to see me this weekend. I wish she was here now! Right now I'm having some pretty regular waves but they don't feel any different than they have.

I really want a hot brownie with vanilla ice cream. You think that will make the baby come out?

I'm getting real hopeful - I don't usually keep contracting after I go to sleep. Last night I started contracting while I slept and some of them woke me up. All the sensation in my yoni. Also having the TMI bloody show. Hears hoping!

Yay for the bloody show!! I wish I had some bloody show!
I hope this is it for you.

So who has had bloody show for a while and is still waiting it out? I started getting it three days ago. It's not heavy, but it's consistent. I've also had some ctx (though not really timeable), and lots of sharp low pain in my cervix. That's the scary part, for me. I'm a first timer, and I expected menstrual type cramps, but not the sensation that baby is digging her way out with a spoon : Anybody know what I mean about that?

I'm afraid my fear may be holding her back. I've not been afraid at all until the last few days when it seemed things were getting started. I just really, really wish my main doula were in town (back on Monday). But I'm sure things will go okay with the backup, should it come to that. I'll just keep saying that to myself, right?

I've got tons of bloody show coming as of today and lots of low cervical cramping. Hopefully this means that the baby is coming this weekend. She should be ready by now.

I'm picking up the house and arranging last minute errands just in case. Besides, I have lots more cramping when I'm moving.

Anyone else still pregnant that's been on this thread??
I'm starting to really feel like when the time really does come that I won't believe and that I won't call anyone. Actually, that wouldn't be so bad, I guess.:

I'm glad you bumped this thread. I'm still here. My doula is back in town today, so husband and I have told baby that she can come any time she wants. I started feeling a little nauseated and giddy in the shower this morning, like maybe something was started, and I'm having some back cramps and shooting pains in my cervix. I'm really trying to focus on relaxing my pelvis and sending welcoming vibes to the baby.

My due date was yesterday, so I shouldn't be too worried yet. I finally feel that everything has aligned and I'm ready for her to come, so I hope she's ready soon, too.

I'm doing a little nesting today: cleaned the bathrooms and got the dog washed (funny one, that urge), but now I'm taking a break. I got 9 good hours of sleep last night, so today would be a good labor day.

Are you still having some pressure waves, noelia?

All. the. time. They range from mild to a moderate. They aren't consistent or anything though. I was taking a nap earlier and I could even feel them in my sleep. So they are there, but they aren't moving along.
Now I also have the most horrible heartburn ever imaginable. I can't get it to go away!

This pregnancy has been a first for me with lots of stopping and starting stuff. Even some mucous plug show, loose bowels, entire days of pressure waves, that get more intense with movement, back pressure, feeling cervix stretching and down low pressure. Then nothing. I guess this is what I get for wondering what all the prodromal labor stuff was about. The other night I kept waking up all night to pressure waves but finally fell into a deep sleep about 5am and of course nothing. Seems to be quite a trend for some of us October moms. I am thinking November is not such a far fetched idea at this point. I have never gone past my guess dates so this is a big first for me too. I keep telling myself that I must have simply not conceived until early Feb.

All of those birth signs that have been happening have never happened to me unless I was going into active labor. So, this really is a real stunner for me. Especially since it will be my 6th birth.

Same here. This is my 3rd and before I started labor and finished it off, kwim?
Now I can feel things stretching down there, keep having regular contrax for an hour just to have them stop again. No lose bowels, I wish. I've been fine all the way thru my pregnancy in that department until now:
My house is clean, everything is set up and I am due tomorrow. Am I done now, please????

You know who I hate? Those people who write birth stories and say "I started off having contractions every 30 minutes"... Just shut the h - e - double hockey sticks up! I have had a cramp or contraction at least once every half hour since 34 weeks, and now I'm staring down the barrel of 41 (though maybe I'm 1 week off my due date due to possible delayed ovulation?)! The past 2 nights I have slept, but I'm so exhausted during the day. It feels like I am contracting all night even though I am sleeping - every time I wake I have a hard belly, so when I wake my body hasn't really rested. I have menstrual type cramping during the day, I had blood tinged mucous for several days, I've had to stop wearing cloth pads (I was wearing them "just in case my water broke") because my yoni got sore from all the moisture, every other day I have loose stools... *sigh*

2 Bluefish -- I could have written that EXACT post. I've had the very same symptoms for at least a week and a half now, maybe two weeks.

Today I really convinced myself that it was going to happen. I was actually having back cramps shooting down my legs with the contractions, and for a bit they seemed almost regular, but now I'm just tired and have decided to stop psyching myself up, even though I'm still cramping and contracting. However, the contractions now seem very close together, so I'm either about to birth this baby as I sit here typing , or my body is screwing with me. Oh well, we'll try again tomorrow.

and good luck! I'm hoping for tonight or tomorrow myself. I've been rather uncomfortable today and feeling like I am working hard even though I'm not in clear cut pain or feeling intensity the way I did with my hypnobirth. I've never gone into active labor with membranes intact, so I'm not sure how that is going to feel. I want dh to get home from work and take care of these kids. Maybe I'll try to go to bed early tonight...
