i think thom is adorable too, tho he looks a little too much like one of my exes. but that voice.. dear lord, THAT is sexy.

and if it counts, the boy i've had the deepest crush on in my life was completely infatuated with ani..

Neil Young, I don't know why. I think its the poetic thing. Maybe its just because he's, well, you know, NEIL!

OT-To those of you who said Johnny Depp, my brother looks like a bald, slightly less attractive version of him. Interestingly, he is part Cherokee, as is my family.

Merpk--I always thought Pa Ingals was hot, too. Especially in those plowin' clothes and all sweaty.

My main celebrity crush is Alan Rickman. The only thing I can think that would be unconventional about it is he is older than my dad!! :LOL :LOL

edited cause there is finally a drool smilie so I had to add it..heehee

Now I suppose it would be Billy Idol.

I second the Steve Buscemi crush (yah - personality thing).

Also, Ted Raimi (Joxer from Xena) - I have a thing for geeks.

Abimommy - I can go for Alan Rickman too - the voice gets me.

Okay, my most unconventional crush would have to be Steve Burns from Blue's Clues. Good to see I'm not alone.
He's such a sweetie!
But, when I was in Jr. High and High school I was totally in LOVE with Robert Smith of The Cure. I had posters of him plastered on my walls and owned every single bit of music they made. (but I stopped buying after Fascination Street.)

hoppyToad!!

Me too! Jimmy Fallon... and Noah Wylie... and Martin Kratt on Zoboomafoo... and Nicholas Cage.... and Keanu Reeves... and Lisa Marie Presley... and Christian Slater... and the weird detective on Law and Order on Sunday nights whose name I can't remember (I don't even know his character name) but I love the character. There's another detective on Law and Order I like too... on SVU the dark haired guy with blue eyes who works with the model/detective woman. I don't know their names, never see it enough to know.

My husband moved out in Feb 2002 so pretty much any dark haired emotionally available actor on Dave Letterman or PBS will get the fantasies rolling, kwim?

Whoo hooo! Let's hear it for Crispin! ild
Have you seen him in Wild At Heart (David Lynch)? Probably his most off-the-wall role ever. He plays Cousin Dale who is obsessed with Christmas.

Years ago Crispin went on a tour of university campuses showing his "Big Slide Show" which was as bizarre as the roles he plays. Basically he had added graffiti to a bunch of Victorian era novels and took pictures of them. Then he showed them as a slide show and added commentary. As an added bonus he showed his first film which featured him as a singing transvestite teenager. During the intermission I saw Crispin looking at me intently and being the dork I am, my face went beet red and I stared at the ground the rest of the time.

If he's supposed to be unconventional, sign me up on that list.

*lustlustlust* *drooldrooldrool*

And, he can still put on possibly the most excellent show we've seen.

When I was 4, apparently I'd run screaming from the room when a Billy Idol video was on because I was scared of his hair.

I also wanted to marry David Bowie when I was 5 and still lust after him even though he could be my father.

I saw Truly Madly Deeply about 13 years ago and fell HARD for Alan Rickman! I still think he's hot in that dark and mysterious foriegn accent way (:LOL)

Still one of my FAVORITE movies as well!

I like him, too! Don't remember his name, though. He used to be on Oz on HBO, too.

Also, Jimmy Smitts (used to be on NYPD Blue - I stopped watching that show after he left).

rainsmom - I like Matt Lauer also. I really really had a crush David Bloom and was so sad when he died.

I think that's all the unconventional ones.

This is just a bit of OT trivia, but the woman on SVU is Mariska Hargitay, who is Jayne Mansfield's daughter.
She doesn't look anything like her mother though!

I have a huge crush on Jon Stewart - so intelligent, and so funny.. he's my TV Husband.

Not sure how unconventional it is, but he is a good 5 years younger than me: I've become completely obsessed with Joshua Jackson. He's actually bumped George Clooney to #2 on my list.

Oh, and I second the Jack Black thing. I went to see High Fidelity for John Cusak and left with Jack on my mind.

And I guess women are counting as unconventional too, so: Busy Phillips (stemming from the Dawson's Creek-Joshua Jackson thing), Selma Hayek, Madonna, Camryn Manheim.

Hannasmom: Me TOO!

I also forgot to mention some of the guys on the LAKERS basketball team: Rick Fox, Robert Horry and D. Fisher........yummy!! I got in to watching basketball with dh, just cos I wanted to watch these guys! Now I just like to watch cos I love the game. I think its beautiful to watch these guys actually fly thru the air!

and speaking of athletes......how bout Lance Armstrong!
