What is an inner foreskin?

I read in a post below that some babies are circumcised but still have their "inner" foreskin while others have the whole thing removed. I had no idea there is such thing as an inner foreskin? Can someone explain this to me?

The inner foreskin would be the part that was showing when the foreskin was retracted all the way. I am not exactly sure how that could be left either. Will be interested in how it was left as well.

the foreskin has 2 types of skin.the outer skin which is normal penile skin and the inner skin which is a mucosal type of skin.like the inside of your mouth or inner vaginal skin.the first 10-15mms of the inside of the foreskin is a ridged mucosa called the ridged band.most circumcisions leave some of the outer and inner skin i have never seen all of the outer skin removed and none of the inner.to see the 2 types of skin look at an erect penis and you will notice the skin just behind the glans is a red-pink mucosal type skin.the inner forekin and glans or head of the penis are both mucosa and the foreskin's inner mucosa is what keeps the head of the penis soft and moist.
