Do you know that terrified feeling in your chest when you get information tht fills you with dread? I've been getting that every time I look at the bank account these days.

We are so over our heads with bills since dd was born. Mortgage is too big, DH bought a car so now there is that, plus medical bills from the birth all over the place.

I feel like I'm drowning, always trying to make it until next payday. I can't get a job right now, dd is too little. But I am freaking out daily trying to stay afloat!

I guess I don't really have a question, I'm just freaking over the 139.21 that has to last until next thursday (not 2 days, 9 days )

I know this feeling all too well... like everyone keeps saying to me though, just take it one day at a time! I know it is WAY easier said then done though. I am already freaking out about when I have this kid and that isn't until April... have faith!

That is completely doable. Dh gets paid next Wed(8 days). We have $54 right now, but I have a $100 cheque that should be here tomorrow(it actually should have been here yesterday). There isn't anything we actually NEED by the time DH gets paid. I will probably end up buying the girls dinner out on Sat as we have basketball from 8:30-9:30 am & then again from 11-12am, then my oldest is starting her bday party at 4pm that day. I may rent a movie, get some chips, etc for that night. but if something comes up & we can't it isn't a big deal to not have that either.

You don't have insurance/medicaid/etc to pay the bills? Do you qualify for anything else?

If you buy inexpensive food--beans, rice, pasta, etc--it might help. Check out the Frugal Meal Planning thread or te one for Meals Under $2.
Could you sell things on eBay? Take surveys? Write for AC? ...

I completely understand how you are feeling! I feel like I'm barely staying afloat. Selling things online and having my paypal card is saving my butt lately. This sucks!!

No, we DO have insurance... these are the bills after insurance. So, f/e, 1000 instead of 7000. I feel kinda lucky. In a dreadful way.

We ate rice and beans just tonight, actually. We are eating out of hte pantry, so there is a lot of that going on.

What is AC, and how do I write for them?
