I am 35 weeks preggo and planning to do a home birth. My midwife heard an fetal arrhythmia at our last checkup so i got an ultrasound to make sure everything was ok w/ the heart. The heart is fine, just doing some pretty regular premature ventricle contractions ( what they called it). Is this PVC something to concern myelf with since we are doing a home birth??? Does this change the tone of labor... Anyone aided in a birth where the baby had this during labor? Any imput would be helpful

Did we just have a thread about you? Does your sister post here?
Anyway, usually PVCs, or PACs do not cause any problems in labor and disappear after birth. I posted recently about this that the only problem I have seen is that an electronic fetal monitor often isn't able to trace the irregular rhythm well and may make it look like baby's heart rate is too low. This shouldn't be a problem with a trained listener at home using a doppler or fetoscope, though. Most likely all will go well and you and baby will do great! Congratulations on your new little one and best wishes for labor!
