41 weeks and counting... - Page 6

Oh - dh is doing okay at ignoring them. The problem is that he doesn't really have any support network here, except me and my family. He moved here from Knoxville a few years ago (to marry me) and neither of us is very good at making friends. So, when things really get to be too much, he'll end up saying something to me, even if he didn't intend to...just because there really isn't anyone else for him to talk to.

It's all good, though - I figure after I have this baby, dh can spread the word about how a long, long early phase and being "late" and all doesn't really matter.

Your body knows what to do!

Hey Tanya, thanks for the tip...dirty dishes, hu? Will file that away!

Lisa, you are doing great! You are such an inspiration to me and you are being such a good, patient Mama to that babe. Your body knows how this needs to happen. Your baby knows how this needs to happen. You are doing so wonderful just trusting in the process. You are doing this. And soon, you'll have a beautiful babe brought peacefully into this world by his or her loving Mama.

Take heart. You have many many women around the world joined with you right now hoping for a beatiful birthing for you. Have strength

Well. The castor oil didn't work, that's for sure! :

You ARE doing it, Lisa. You are not waiting. You are doing. Your body and mind are preparing for this birth. Let it prepare and get your arms ready to hold your newest family member.

I don't have time to read every page . . . but just wanted to drop in and say that your posts have been so helpful to me in the past, and when I was looking for vbac options I took encouragement from you. I'd send you some baby-moving vibes, but I have a feeling you don't need anything right now, everything's just right.

I just want to say that I hope you have a beautiful birthing. I also hope you are listening to your inner voice. Sometimes babies take a long time because they aren't positioned right or something is wrong. If you feel like you need to get help, don't be scared to get help! The most important thing is a healthy baby and mama.

I cannot personally imagine going to 43 weeks! I would've gone nuts! I was 42 weeks and 1 day when my little one arrived on her own time. Definitely follow your heart. And if your heart is saying " go to the hospital," GO!

Again sending you wishes for the most beautiful birthing!

I don't know if anyone has heard anything... I'm tempted to email Lisa, but don't want to bug her...

but Lisa, if you're up and around, and feel like filling us in, there are a lot of us here anxious to hear how you're doing...

I wouldn't worry too much. Lisa might just want some space.

And as far as the candle is concerned, I often light candles for people when I am wishing them peace. Perhaps that is what she intended with her virtual candle.

She posted to the ICAN list. It's her story to tell. I'm sure she will post here when she can.
