Well, for me I'm not looking for a "nice" or expensive outfit, just cute and comfortable. I have to pick something, so why not choose something that will be cute in the pictures? Also, when I look at baby photos I know it was the day I brought my kids home, I remember the clothes, and even though they did wear them again, they outgrew the outfit fast, so it definitely stands out for me when I'm looking at photos. I would never bother with anything fussy though.
