has anyone tried it? did it work? is it safe to use on diapers since they'll be on ur baby a couple hours at a time?

i tried dyeing a few of them adn the colour didnt take..they now just look dingy instead of dyed...but as i was doin it dh asked if it was toxic. i see on their site it's not toxic but still , safe enough to use on diapers?

I used procion dyes to tie dye my diapers. It is supposed to chemically bond with the fabric so not run. I have t-shirts that have been dyed probably 2 years ago & had a lot of use that have only faded the same as they would if they'd been a one colour shop brought number. So it thought they were OK. But I do have to say I have noticed my oh so natural diaper soaking powder that is biodegrable etc etc actually strips the dye out of them so they are now looking somewhat slightly faded.

I have used dylon dyes in the past before I discovered procion dyes but I could never get them not to run so I guess they'd be no good on a baby & even if they were OK, they'd just fade within a few weeks as they get washed so often.

I've only used the procion, but I've had great results with it.
