Home visit canceled / full moon

My home visit was scheduled for today at 11 am. I was so excited and had everything ready. My midwife called at 10 am to say she was at a delivery last night and has another mother laboring today. I would love to have my baby, but I don't think I want it to be tonight. It is a little early. I am almost 38 weeks and I don't really want an exhausted midwife. My DS has been teasing me for several weeks about the upcoming full moon. I told him technically I could wait for the next full moon though I really want the baby to come sooner.
I am sad about my home visit. Oh well. She said she would come next week.

ohhh i'm so sorry she isn't coming today. seems like all the MW's all so busy w/ births lately.......the MW here i was going to use had her asst call me yesterday to tell me they had a mama in labor and can i make it next wednesday....i said yes just to get them off the phone but i am awfully unpleased as i am now 36 wx and need some CARE here!!!

do u have a doula or would your MW have an asst to come out and check you should she be too tired/resting up from a previous birth should that happen when you are in labor???
