I spent half the day at my OB/MW's office--they put me on the NST and couldn't get the baby's heartbeat to accellerate. Her rate was fine, but no accellerations. They tried jostling her around, nothing happened. They gave me a ton of cold water, nothing happened. They gave me a bunch of halloween candy and she finally did enough that they could send me home instead of the hospital. I was there for HOURS, and of course had DD with me--keeping her entertained was not easy on top of everything else. I finally called DH and he left work to be there with me and take care of DD. I think everything is fine now, but it really scared me and freaked me out. Now I'm starting to feel like I did all during DD's pregnancy--I just want her OUT so I can see her and know she's OK, you know? Unfortunately, I don't think that's going to happen for a while. My cervix is really thin, but I'm only dialated a fingertip. I think I'm going to need to keep it together for a few more weeks...

Oh, I'm so sorry. That sounds terribly stressful. When I was in for an NST, another woman in there was having that problem -- good HR, but no accelerations. I would guess that all is well, they just really want to hear the acell. as insurance.
I know it is easier said than done, but try not to worry too much. Sorry that this was your day.
