Wednesday night I had contractions all.night.long. I was up and in the bathroom all.night.long. The contractions were random, like 6-8-4-2-12 minutes apart. By 7am they were 3-4 minutes apart for an hour and getting strong. We called the MW and she asked me to come in and get checked before going through the whole admitting process. Weird, while I was there they found I had lost two pounds since Tuesday.
I was only 1cm so she asked me to go back home, take a bath, take a Benadryl, eat, and sleep. She said of course I'd be better off relaxing at home during early labor, and if the ctx stopped or slowed down, it's probably not true labor. So I did all that and they slowed down. By last night they had stopped.
: Turns out it was from dehydration! I was in an irritable uterine pattern. :
I had called in reinforcements, so my DH and my mom both took the day off from work to take care of me and DD. And all for nothing. Since DH burned a day off for nothing, now he only has 5 days to be home with the baby.
: I feel so stupid! We were all so excited. Packed the bags, took a picture of us as a family before I left, etc., etc., etc. But seriously, 3-4 minutes apart?! Argh!
