SIL in labor, could she go natural?

First of all, with the first baby she labored for like 14 hours and never dilated so they did a csection. Second one was just scheduled. I dont know her medical issues, but I know lots of women vbac. She has medicade and Im sorry, but she has crappy doctors. Last month when she had contractions, they didnt even see her, just told her to go to the hospital.

Ok, so today:My sister in law is in labour. She called me at noon to ask if what she felt were contractions (hey, two csections, she hasnt had a contraction in years). Anyway, they were. And while we were talking they went from five min. apart to four. Then I told her to sit, rest, drink water for about twenty min. to see if they would stop. (She was out shopping with her 18mo old). They didn't, then she was three min. apart, so she called her sister to pick up her older child from school and her mom to come help her with her toddler. Then she drove herself to the hospital. By then, two min. apart. They took her right up to L&D and thats the last I heard.

Everyone is freaking out cuz she went shopping. Blaming her. Well, she wasnt In labor when she went shopping. It started while she was out. A month ago she was put on bedrest to keep from having her early. I say, since she's term, she was ok to go back to full activities. My mom says no cuz since she had a previous section, contractions are dangerous for her because the uterus could rupture. Any reason she couldnt have a normal labor?

Ok, just got a call. She's admitted. Her doc isn't on call and so the on call doc doesn't want to do the csection. So....they put her on IV fluids to try and stop labor. They are trying to stop labor on a full term baby. Anyway, they said if her labor doesnt stop in an hour, they will do the csection. She hasnt dilated at all.

I don't have anything really helpful to add, just that I think she should turn around and go straight home! Those doctors sound crazy : Then again, it doesn't sound like the rest of her family there would be much help either.

Ok, the original doc told her she was feeling pressure due to a bladder infection, catheterized her and gave her pain meds, which she said made her nauseaous and dizzy. The doc flat out refused to do a csection, the nurses told sil and her mom that it was because its friday and that doc was off at five and didnt want to get stuck at the hospital. So that let her labor for two more hours until shift change. The doc that came on call at five is my moms ob! Hes really good and did my moms hysterectomy and my mom seems to think highly of him. Anyway, she never dilated and they took the baby about half an hour ago. Six pounds, fourteen ounces, ironically exactly what my six mo. old weight at birth and exactly what my friends baby weight two weeks after mine and exactly what I weighed!
