I am! I am! I was in nesting mode last night but had to go out and get some canning jars and didn't get home till 7:30- so much for nesting. So today is the day! What is on your To Do list?

For me:
~dishes
~laundry
~breakfast
~thank-you cards
~make the rest of the dang apple butter; wash those dang dishes
~run out for toilet paper
~baby laundry

That is enough for me. I am shutting the blasted computer OFF so I am not jumping back on every 5 minutes to see what is going on here... what are you all up to?

For us, the task today is:

Moving to our new place.

I spent from about 4pm yesterday afternoon nearly straight through until about 8am this morning packing stuff up (I took a nap from 8pm til 11pm) .....We'd have done all this crap sooner if the new landlord had moved their heinie in giving us the move-in go-ahead a little sooner than 2 days ago.

Edit: Ugh, it just hit me how exhausted I am, and I've only got 1 bedroom totally packed up....Still have another bedroom, the living room and a little bit of stuff in the kitchen and bathroom to pack....Maybe I should take another nap and recharge for now....

Me me! I had tons of contractions last night and went on a nutty nesting spurt. CHanging rolls of toilet paper, cleaning my daughter's room, you name it...lol.

Reality today is that this is my last full free weekend. (Even if baby doesnt come soon, we have weekend commitments through her EDD). My DH is working, my DD is at her dad's, and I am going to:

-Laundry
-Clean daughter's closet
-Finish babies room stuff
-Clean car
-Buy curtain brackets
-Clean downstairs
-FInish packing bag
-Buy random odds and ends
-dishes (3 days worth)
-diapers
-grocery shop
-make frozen post partum pads
-water plants
-take out compost
-organize finances
-order post partum sitz bath herbs and other stuff
-clean both bathrooms

This all will need to get done when DH takes DD for a run around 1 - hoping they'll be gone for around 2 hours.

My list for the weekend.

We are finally going to finish the baby's room. DH has to build the crib (which we decided to build even though we received an Amby Baby that will go in our room). Crap! We can't find the hardware. It is going to take us all day tomorrow to clear out the garage in hopes to find it.

Wash baby clothes
Dishes
Thank you's
Pumpkin Patch
Decorate for Halloween and maybe do some halloween crafts.

-buy some used diapers from the diaper service lady and buy some covers too...they don't start service til baby is BORN . i wanted to at least have a weeks worth. silly policy i think. so i'll get a primer on how to fold diapers and such...

-run to store for baby detergent then:
-wash baby clothes...

-wash mama and meghy clothes...

-put away clothes in our new place...gotta figure out where to put them...this place is a shoebox!!!

-unpack some more

-put things we will donate in bags and boxes...

-take megh to a playground for a long while... (i just looked at megh on the bed and she's sitting in an empty box up there...cute. she is dancing as she kneels to some cute show on tv)

i'll leave it at this for now...don't want to overdo it. i can only do so much.

Me, me, me - major stuff....we're in the middle of a move so today I plan to...

~ Throw out lots of trash/junk we don't need
~ wash all sheets and blankets
~ fold the laundry already in the washer and dryer
~ take apart the girls bunk bed
~ make at least one trip to storage
~ hopefully take a load of stuff over to my MILs where we're staying until we find a new house
~ take boxes down from our room than need to go to storage
~ get dog food
~ if we get more boxes...box up more stuff
~ wipe down window sills
~ vacuum up/clean up the places we move stuff from

No - I'm not going to do all this myself. My girls and FIL will help and DH too when he gets home from work. But I'm going to do what I can and then delegate the rest to my helpers.

got some help from my mama putting away videos/dvd's and cd's.......as well as books.

i've been going thru clothes, hanging winter appropriate dresses of meghan's and shirts of mine, boxing up summer clothes for megh and also putting stuff for donation of meghs' and my clothing in bags........probably about 3/4 of the way done w/ this. can i get a woop woop!

now i'm taking a break after going going going for a few hours......drinking some cold water.......nummy.

i'll have to enroll my mom to help carry laundry to the laundry room next...she is out w/ megh on meghy's tricycle......such a great grandma.

guess now i'll go sit on the floor and put away our undies and bras and socks and bathing suits into that drawer that is under the little twin bed in the extra room (we don't sleep in there).

oh i showered too....and megh took a bath. listening to some nice easy listening music...... 'the end of innocence' is on by don henley. i like this song. i know i've done more but i can't think what it is right now...misc. daily things...took vitamins, put on deoderant... wiped my butt. lol
love,
lis

Well, DSS has pink eye and a sinus infection... Soooo. I spent the morning cleaning his room.

I sorted the toys into waterproof vs clean by hand

Waterproof toys went into the tub with hot soapy water since I'm out of bleach until friends arrive

Stripped beds

Started laundry so I would have something to wear besides bra and panties when friends arrive.

Vaccuumed boy child's room and re-made bed with sheets and one of my extra pillows

De-cluttered my bathroom (The tp had to be lined up on top of the toilet tank, I swear)

Took the trash to the front door (because I'm still wearing bra and panties)

Tried to take a nap with DD, but took 2 hours of protest, her Nanna and Daddy on the phone telling her it was naptime, and 2 nursing sessions to get her to pass out.

Still need to

- work on living room before friends get here This didn't quite happen in time...
- get dressed Neither did this for the most part. I still had to change before we went to the store...
- change laundry Got this done after dinner
- walmart run... they'll watch the kids Spent way too much on candy
- get the kitchen in some semblence of order (not dirty, just cluttered) before we start cooking. Not as good as I really wanted, but it was a start

:::

Pray for me

Anna

I'm nesting like a madwoman! :

I have had a huge burst of nesting energy this last week. On Wednesday i totally reorganized DS's toys and put them all into labeled plastic shoeboxes stacked in the closet, so now we have a sort of 'toy library' instead of just the total toys-everywhere-chaos we had before. Now he has to put each box of toys away and ask me for another one if he wants to play with something different. Before, he was just dumping boxes everywhere and the mess just grew and grew. But now, I wish I could post a picture of his closet now...its a thing of beauty.
Dh was watching from the doorway as I was rabidly cleaning, with a little worried look on his face..

Last night I made Dh help me rearranged the furniture in the kids' room ( they will be sharing a room) and made French roast chicken and mashed potatoes from scratch.

Today i ran errands and bought about 5 months worth of italian sausage, breakfast sausage and ground beef ( all the meat items DH knows how to cook with) for the freezer so Dh can cook after the baby comes. Then I came home and made a huge batch of choc chip cookies. I am about to make an apple pie for my friend who is due in December to freeze. Laundry is in the machine, with a pile ready to fold. Kitchen floor mopped.

However, DS is now covered head to toe in flour, there is water and soap bubbles all over the bathroom counters and floor ( the result of DS 'cleaning himself up'), and I'm really messy.
