Hey mamas - some friends of mine are hosting a screening at Eureka College! Road trip anybody?

Hope it's OK to post here - just trying to spread the word!

A screening of Ricki Lake’s documentary The Business of Being Born!

* What: screening of “The Business of Being Born,” followed by a discussion panel. The film is 87 minutes long.
* When: Saturday, November 17th at 1 pm
* Where: Eureka College, Becker Auditorium (located in the Cerf Center building). Eureka College is midway between Peoria and Bloomington, IL
* Who: Everyone is welcome!
* Cost: We are asking for the following suggested donations to cover the cost of bringing the film to Eureka College:
o $5 and up: students
o $10 and up: adults
o $20 and up: families

How does one go about seeing this movie if one is in Alaska? I haven't seen any advertisements for it anywehre.

You have to contact the film's producers (go to their website) and there's a link on how to host a private screening.

And anyone in central IL--please come! It will be great!

I don't know if this helps, but you can reserve it on Netflix (does Netflix deliver to Alaska?)

Or some kind mdc mama can copy it for you when it comes out! I think it's due in theaters in Jan.

I saw it at the Gentle Birth World Congress (Ricki Lake was there, ooooo) It was really fabulous. Very well done. Mainstream-friendly and well researched. I was impressed.
