How do I calculate a Due date when I have irregular cycles?

My cycles are erratic.
The first day of my LMP was Sep 10. Which was 40 days after the LMP before that it was 36 days. before that it was 38, before that it was 32, before that it was 31, and before that it was 36.
I think I concieved on Oct 2nd, but I am not really sure.

I am very confused. :

How do I know what my DD is?

I would probably go by that Oct. 2nd. Another option would be to take your longest cycle length and subtract 16 days (which would be a long luteal phase: time from ovulation to next menstrual period). That would put you at Oct. 4th for ovulation if you figure a 40 day cycle and your due date would be June 27th. If you use Sept. 10th (which I wouldn't recommend) it would be June 3rd.

Early ultrasound can help give you a better estimate, but I think June 27th would probably be as good as an ultrasound date. Once your belly starts growing, fundal height measurements may give another clue.

Exact due date need not be a concern. Having an idea within 2-3 weeks would be good enough for me.

But otherwise, yes, eventually fundal height may well help you pinpoint things...along with making use of your 'suspected conception date', and the dates of any other significant events like the start and/or stop of nausea or any other pg sign. you'd be amazed how well a date can be narrowed down with this combined info!

If you're UCing why does it matter? It doesn't really matter anyway And the length of your menstrual cycle has no bearing on how long your baby needs to grow him or herself Count forward 9 months on your fingers, it's infallible And congrats
