I use a peri bottle with warm water to rinse/wash up a bit, then dry with a dry wipe. For messier times, I'll also use wipes dampened with some warm water.

I feel *so* much cleaner than I ever did using toilet paper!

What cloth do you use for TP? I too cut up old t-shirts.

Where do you keep it or in? I keep mine in a little basket beside the toilet. I am the only one using it, but then again, I am a single mama, so DS doesn't use tp yet.

And then what do you put the "dirties" into? I also have a small trash can next to the toilet. It has the little lever you step on to lift the lid. I have a cloth diaper wetbag in it and then when it is time to wash, I just dump it inside out into the washer and throw the bag in with it. I don't have to touch anything. I generally put a drop or two of essential oil in every week or so to keep the odor down.
Um do you use patterned cloth to hide any possible, uh stains? Come on... even cloth diapers get stains. I do have some that is white, but for #2 I do tend to grab the darker pieces.
Ever have any comments from guests? Do you keep paper tp for guests? I have a few friends who know what it is, but for the most part, people don't even ask me what the basket of cloth bits in the bathroom are. I do keep paper tp for guests. I put up a new roll when I moved into this apartment two months ago, and haven't needed a new roll yet! I would say that is pretty good!
And do you feel you have saved $$$ or just feel good for the enviroment? I was definitely going through at least a roll a week, if not two, and now I have gone through a little over a half a roll in the past two months. Definitely saving me money, and I feel so good about saving the environment too. I do cloth diapers, so I figured I could just use cloth myself and wash everything at the same time. They all come out clean, and I feel a little surge of joy every time they all come out of the dryer.
