My contractions stopped last night and I was hoping that a nice long walk this morning would get them going again. But nope. Well heck, I have to go into labor sometime right?

DH wants to DTD to help me out. I am unenthusiastic.

42 weeks, 1 day and counting.

Everyone keeps promising me that I will go into labor. I hope they are right. I'll be p.o.ed if I have to wait to 42 weeks and then something comes up to indicate induction.

I miss sex, but I don't want to DTD with this baby in between us. Time for baby to get out!!

DH had a dream about dd having a dual birthday party with "her sister" - so he's convinced this one will be born on dd's birthday - Tuesday.

I'm impressed with your patience, Roostery...my due date's not until tomorrow and I'm really impatient to have this baby. Hope you start having those contractions tonight!

Soon. I have to tell you it seems like some of us are destined to stick it out until the first week in November. If it goes beyond that I am pulling out all the tricks in the book!!

DH keeps telling me Nov 2nd. That's the date that popped into his mind months ago. I cursed him then and I still curse him. But that's not too much longer. We can only wait and see!

I think DTD helped to make my water break.. but my labor didn't start. Having a baby is a finicky thing...

Hmm, maybe the dh's have it this time. DH told me he had a dream that dd and her "sister" shared a birthday. Well, tomorrow is dd's birthday, so we'll see...

I'm as late as you

My EDD was October 12 too! Just wanted to let you know you're not alone! I come to this board a lot to see what's going on, but i've never contributed (one of those shy lurker types) but you inspired me to write for once.
I'm planning a HBAC and my midwives don't do any kind of induction and they aren't worried at all about me, so I'm just waiting it out like you. I'm trying not to get too frustrated. In a way, it's even more exciting because we never know just when those contractions are going to turn into the real thing, and we've been waiting sooooo long!

Good luck, BigElle. I hope it happens for you soon. I'm only 2 days overdue and trying to keep things in perspective.

I just recently de-lurked myself. Welcome! You sound pretty darn good, emotionally, but we all need support at times.

Yeah, I'm 10 days late myself. I'm not feeling anything-no indications that it's coming soon, but I was like that with DD, too. She was 11 days late, but when she decided to come, there was no stopping her!!
I went for acupuncture today, not really bc I'm anxious, but just to see if it would actually work!! Nothing yet!!
