RR Tea in early pregnancy?

I can't remember if it's safe or not. If it's just a mix in and not straight is it OK? I got two faint positives today. Two different brand tests, two different pees. It would put me due July 11. Dh has a big interview tomorrow so I haven't told him yet. It's a shock for both of us. I pray baby sticks and know it will be a blessing. Just trying to let it sink in.:

My opinion is that it should be reserved for the last 8 weeks of pregnancy, since it can trigger uterine contractions. Better teas would be dandelion leaf, nettle, and yellow dock.

RRL Tea is safe, I drink 1 cup/day in 1st Tri, 2 cups/day in 2nd Tri and 3 cups/day in 3rd Tri.

I also plan to keep drinking rrl, the way brandybehr outlined.

Excuse my ignorance but what is RR tea? Is it rasberry leaf tea?

Red Raspberry Leaf Tea.

I have been drinking one cup a day of Yogi Tea's Mother to Be. It is a mix of RR, nettle, and a few other herbs. I started this before I knew I was pregnant to replace the earl grey I was drinking every morning.

RRL isn't going to trigger contractions unless you are 'ready to go' anyways...I took loads in caplet form during my last pregnancy and it was my easiest pg yet! Enjoy the tea...I never have time to drink tea, so I stick with supplements

Can I be drinking too much?

With the chilly weather setting in, I'm craving hot drinks! I have my first cup right off the bat in the am and a lot of the time I have a second one later in the day. I'd probably drink more if I wasn't nervous about it! Now come July, now way! I guess I do like it cold, tho.

Any other tea suggestions?? I see dandelion leaf, nettle, and yellow dock. Are they yummy?

I went to www.motherlove.com which is a brand that I trust alot. They say RR is OK. I don't know about quantities but I also fear overloading on it. Hmm.

All throughout my last pregancy, I made an infusion of organic loose RRL each day according to Susun Weed's directions (she's so great!). I did about half nettle and half RRL. I never had contractions until my last month of pg.

Loose tea makes a much better brew than tea bags. I wouldn't waste my money on tea bags -- they're almost always stale.

We are blessed around here and have some great places to go to IRL. I just went to a place called Indigo Forest in Ann Arbor this weekend and they had awesome prices!

What a good idea, Ekblad9! I live just around the corner from Indigo Forest. I was going to stop by Tree City Diapers today.

DomerJen, I got my loose herbs at our co-op, but eventually bought a big bag online because it was soooo much cheaper. I bet you could find something if you Googled "red raspberry leaf organic bulk"

Ooh - you're so lucky to live close! We live about 20 - 30 minutes away. Still - their prices are awesome!
