Yay! I have a convert!!

My dd apparently does not remember nursing, as, despite my nearly constant encouragement prior to Ellen's birth, she insisted on giving her "babies" bottles. Well, all that has suddenly changed as she watched me nurse Ellen! Now, when I nurse, she gets a baby and nurses too! As we speak, she is on her way upstairs to grab my extra nursing pillow so she can nurse her baby!

Wahoo!!! Just had to share! :

Awesome!

My dd doesn't remember nursing, and the other day she asked if she could "drink milk from mommy's boobies." She just kind of put her lips on my nipple, but it was cute.

Yay!!

Both my kids have nursed their dolls. I think Max nursed a stuffed animal.

It'll be interesting to see what happens now!

I have been waiting for dd to ask that, but so far she hasn't - which right now is just as well, as I am having trouble getting milk out of my right breast, so Ellen is pretty much dependent on the left, and seems to need everything I can produce on that side (which is actually quite a bit!).

Oh, and I just looked online and found a dolly-size nursing pillow! Only thing is, the darned thing comes with a bottle! WTH?!?! Oh, well, I think I am going to get her one anyway, they are awfully darned cute!

Looks like the child is modeling a sling, as well. ETA: My bad. It's a burp cloth. :

A bottle?? Odd.

I offered mama milk to DS and he said he wanted it, but he only stayed on a second and then said "all done". I was pretty sad, but I guess it is better this way. I still feel sad though. I told him if he decides that he wants mama milk that it is here for him and he said, "and for [DD] too". He is so sweet!

My boys were both nursing babies - complete with pulling up their shirts and laying down - in a public store! Granted, it was a mom/baby boutique that specializes in breastfeeding, and I was on the other of the two loveseats nursing Judah... But it was very funny and just a bit embarassing.

Emily started with nursing her babies too! She would give them her sippy cup or bring them to me to nurse when I was pregnant. Now she pulls her shirt up and holds it in place with her chin, it's really funny.

oh, good! Since it would just have gone into the garbage anyway...

Actually, given the price, and the fact that dd seemed to like my boppy just fine, I thought I would just look for another regular boppy for her to have - I know I can get one for just a few dollars at the resale store. She also liked curling up with it on the floor after she had nursed.

My friend's daughter gave her friends lectures about what boobies were for. It's so cute when they emulate us.

DS has nursed his dinosaur and many stuffed animals. I thought he would ask to try it, but so far has not. He was a pirate for Halloween and someone said "pirates drink rum." He said "no, they drink mommy's milk, that is what makes them strong!" That's my boy!!
