Has anyone painted silk with regular fabric paints?I want to use a leaf as a stamp but I'm not sure it would work on silk.Any thoughts?

This book feels good in your hands. The paper is heavyweight, and the illustrations flow perfectly.

It will work but will leave(no pun intended
) a "hand" on the fabric. This means that the paint will leave an added texture to the silk. One way to mitigate this is to water down the paint a little bit. This will allow the paint to penetrate the silk fiber alittle bit more and leave less of a hand.
After it dries you can toss it in the dryer to heat set the paint or iron it using another piece of cloth between the iron and the silk.

I forge what it's called but there is a gell that you can add dye to so that you can paint and stmp with it like paint. Your local art supply store might know what I'm talking about.
