My birth at Special Beginnings was the most positive experience of my life. I had some complications- water breaking 3 days before ctx with light meconium, but it was treated with...
My mom gave me this for Christmas and I absolutely love it. Gorgeous illustrations and very sweet ideas inside. Plus it's just structured enough so that I can be creative about what I include...
This is the prettiest carrier, and fit my shoulders and figure (at 5'6") much better than the Ergo. I got it when my daughter was about nine months, two years ago - it doesn't appear to have...
This potty is great - excellent value & performance! (plus it's cute!) My 9 month old DS took to it right away. He is a big boy (30 in. tall - feet not quite on floor - & 27 lbs.) and this is...
we are getting read to visit the inlaws for a week, and while the do eat fairly well, they are by no means TF. any suggestions for things i can make ahead of time and take with me or simple recipies i can make there?
I am staying at my grandfather's with some other family members soon and he knows how picky I am so he is taking me grocery shopping when I get there I am hoping he has some basic things like olive oil in his cupboard because he is single and basically lives off milk products, potato salad, and Wheetabix. I offered to cook for everyone and I believe there is a Whole Foods and Trader Joes in the area so I am hoping that works out.
Can you offer to make a roast chicken or beef? You can eat that meat over a couple of days to help get you through. I'd also see if you can bring your own eggs, if you have pastured eggs. Maybe bring some crispy nuts with you for healthy snacking?
Good luck! My inlaws live on fast food. ugh. And, the nearest Whole Foods is an hour away and there's no Trader Joe's in the state. Even before I went TF, I struggled with eating there!
If you have kids, I'd pack most of their snacks and bring them with us. And bring plenty of good fats and some meat to 'share' to lessen their financial burden from having to feed company. Yeah.
There's a good roast beef and roast chicken recipe on my sample menu mailer that's really easy to do, if you don't know how to do those. Click the link in my sig and scroll down, and you'll see the sample mailer link. Click on it and scroll down to the recipes.
