woohoo! maybe...

Today/tomorrow might just be it for me. I've been an emotional wreck all day, dealing with 6-7 minute apart contrax that I was afraid to call anyone about because I didn't want to be told it was just "practice" again. I've broken down crying/laughing hysterically several times, which is probably a sign itself. Honestly, they don't hurt unless I'm walking around a lot, and then it's just a little mild menstrually type stuff. They feel like an internal wedgy. I can feel my cervix being yanked up. Still, I wasn't prepared to believe anything was REALLY happening until I went to pee a few minutes ago, and a GREAT BIG mucus plug fell out! I finally called the doula and she said it sounds like labor may be starting in earnest within 12 hours or so. She prescribed a good dinner, funny movie, and husband cuddling.

Even if I hold out for a couple of days, I actually think it's really going to happen!!!!

What do you think?

Is anyone still around, or did you all jump ship to the November DDC? It looks like I will likely be having a November baby, but it should be soon! wahahahahah!

Looks like it really will be. At least by some time tomorrow. i passed more bloody mucous, and the ctrx are about 5 minutes apart now. If I stay totally relaxed in my recliner on my heating pad, they're completely manageable and almost not unpleasant, just a strong tugging upward from my cervix. If I move around I get all crampy. I totally don't mind this stage dragging on until morning so that DH, the midwife on call, my doula, and I can get some sleep. I'll just stay relaxed, and hope for a few hours sleep now that doula and midwife have convinced me that I WILL wake up before the baby slips out from between my legs.

Unfortunately, I have to make a 35 min drive to the hospital, so that's my main anxiety.

I haven't gone anywhere. My baby seems not to notice it is November now in spite of an October 22nd due date so I guess I will play along! It really does sound like this is it for you! Those are exactly the way the real ones feel to me, the cervix being stretched open and tugged up. Looking forward to an update!
