Thanks for the new thread.

Thanks for taking over the thread! I know how much we all enjoy and appreciate this support and all the exciting updates. Nothing really new with me since the last Oct update. Still Waiting to Know. 8dpo (Oct 31) and hoping to get an accurate (and higher!) bbt tomorrow morning since I was sick today and running fever. My temps over the next couple days will determine whether I test this weekend or not.

Happy November TTC, love, and quick baby-making wishes to you all!

Hmm, do you guys think I O'd yesterday, or today? How many more high temps do I need for FF to "detect" ovulation?

Ladies, I want permission to have chocolate. It's CD1, I ovulated last cycle... if I drink a cup of hot chocolate to ease the cramps, will I prevent ovulation this cycle?

I want encouragement to stay off the chocolate, or permission to do it!

Why would chocolate prevent ovulation? :

Thursday Check in:
Name: Luna
Date: Nov. 1
Where are you at in your cycle: CD 19, possibly 1DPO
Appointments: none
Symptoms if they apply: Ovulation Symptoms - headache, very slightly tender breasts, crampiness/ov pain, extremely increased sex drive (last night)
Testing: + OPK on CD 17, checking BBT, not sure when I'll do an HPT
Thoughts: Waiting for FF to confirm ovulation... beyond that, I'm *trying* not to be as obsessed this time around. I need to distract myself with other things.

Luna - I think FF wants to see 3 high temps before it will confirm o.
Chocolate might prevent ovulation because I have PCOS which is thought to be blood sugar/insulin resistance/diabetes related. I'm not diabetic and all my levels come back normal, but I've been on a no-sugar-and-more-whole-grains-and-protein diet anyway. I'm a little concerned that if I have too much sugar it'll throw my hormones out of whack again and prevent ovulation.

OTOH, I really want chocolate.

Yes, I think you O'd yesterday! Hooray for the egg! Swim spermies swim! You'll need 2 more high temps for FF to place your crosshairs.

What about maybe a sugar-free hot chocolate? I know they make them. I'm not a fan of sugar-free foods since they're so much more processed than the original but still. I hope you find a way to cure your craving.

Thanks! So... two more days before I know *for sure* if I O'd yesterday.

Oh, okay, I didn't know that. Hmm perhaps you should wait a little longer.

Yippee! I think so too! And we BD'd 5 times out of the last 6 days and 8 out of the last 10 days, so I *think* we are covered. Should we DTD once more tonight just in case? We are both getting pretty worn out...
songbird, i'm not normally one to suggest sugar-free stuff, but what about some sugar free hot cocoa?

thanks everyone for the congrats! i go for the official blood test tomorrow, but i poas again this morning, and it was still light but darker than yesterday's tests and definitely there. i told my parents and sister by telling them we dressed Luna up as a big sister for trick-or-treat. my sister got it the quickest, then my mom, and then finally my dad. they were so excited! :
