Dude. the top of that chart (0-6m weight)--I mean the *top*, like the very top line that borders the margin is 10.3kg which ~equals 23lb.
I don't know how to measure height on a baby. I'll give it a try though.
I don't even think you can blame breastmilk for that.

He still hasn't rolled over btw.
Is that something to be worried about?

Henry (and Maggie) are going to be six months tomorrow. Tomorrow!! I can't believe it. We want to do something, but I'm not sure what. Can't decide if we should do half of something celebrating his half birthday. Or something to do with sixes for six months. We'll see if we end up doing anything cool. I just want to make sure to weigh him naked and measure him.

I'm feeling the need to get more active. I still haven't established any physical activity into my life. I was about to type routine, but I don't have any routines about anything! Every day is a new adventure.

In Henry news, I saw him get himself into sitting position from crawling today. It was exciting - Delia and I cheered him on.

i'm having the opposite problem. ezra is sleeping sooooo much less these days & it's so much more difficult to get him to sleep. the ONLY way he'll nap is when i wrap him on my back & walk around the house....non-stop. it helps if i'm talking, too, so i get a few good phone calls in each day. i really think it's because he wants to crawl. we have a household bet going on to guess when he'll officially crawl. i have tomorrow, kim has the 6th & dh the 7th. we shall see.... is there only one crawler in the group, so far?

yeah i spoke too soon on this. of course he only napped for 20 minutes today. i swear everytime i think we're turning a corner, and i start TALKING about it, we take a million steps backwards.

Hello everyone. Dh was sent out on the California fires hes been gone over a week. When the call came in I just had a breakdown... it had been so lone since seeing him and no set time on when hes coming back. I put the kids in the car and drove to Arizona to see family. Couldn't stand being alone anymore.
Anyway I'll tell more about things when I can keep my eyes open... miss you ladies... feel so disoriented from 'real life'.

P.s. ashlyn rolls over now... phew thought something might be wrong

It seems unreal 6 months already. Seems like yesterday I was just waiting for her to be born.

Elisabeth isn't crawling yet, but soon! She just started getting on all fours and rocking and was turning last night without being on her tummy. She's been kinda crabby, do they crab after the tooth has come through the gum? Or maybe she just wants to move? Her second tooth came in Monday morning. I've never gotten to see these things happen step by step, and it's so fun!

My turned 30 yesterday! I'm not old enough to be married to a 30 yr old! :

My IL's keep asking about the rice cereal. Hehe, now when I go by the baby food jars, I mutter crap-in-a-jar to myself. I gave E a slice of apple, and she scraped an adult-size bite's worth off.

firemommaof1, I miss my when he's gone just overnight. I can't imagine weeks on end and not knowing. That's a hard, dangerous job, to boot. I'll be praying for his safety.

Heidi, Thanks so much for the recipe. My likes pizza on Saturday nights, and he usually makes it , but since I'm not eating wheat, we haven't, so this will be fun. Pizza tomorrow night! I'll get your box out sometime this coming week, need to finish up a project!

Thanks for the idea of the towel/baby quilt under the sheet. I had that idea kinda, but has her on a baby blanket with part of it rolled around the second blanket, but the edge I was on would bother me.

For you co-sleepers, how do you keep your LOs from being overheated? I don't always have her right next to me, so she's just right in a onesie and a blanket on her, but when she's next to me nursing, and we fall asleep, she soaks the sheets sweating!

How to measure baby: We stand her up and hold a yardstick behind her. Get the same numbers as the dr's office. I think she weighs at least 16. Ten lbs of mama's milk--wow! Oh gotta run, she's awake!

The crust will be more like a quick bread so you just pat it into the pan. OH I totally forgot. I changed the recipe as the crust was not getting done. Precook the crust for 15-20 minutes then add toppings then bake.

And talking, she said Hey to me last night when I came out of the kitchen, and she could see me. I heard her say hey to a friend of mine Tuesday, but wasn't sure if she just happened say hey at the right time or was talking, but I'm sure she was last night!

Sebastian is doing that too! I think it will be within the next week or 2 that he will start crawling!

Yes, separation anxiety starting here too. If he can't see me while I leave the room he starts to fuss until I come back into his sight.

T or T was great - out neighborhood goes all out for Halloween. This year we made it in Time Out New York and the NY Times for how great our event is. Houses who participate have to have 2000+ peices of candy! Our kids had a great time -- an elf, frankenstein, a pixie, and supergirl. We always go with all the cousins.

I hope Clay is feeling a bit better now. My girls have always had a fever w/ teething too. I use to HATE it when I'd take the girls in for check ups and tell the drs I knew a tooth would be in in a few days b/c of the fever and they would tell me "No, kids don't run fevers when getting teeth!" BULL CRAP! Well, mine too! And OMGosh thats a LOT of kids! Sounds like a ton of fun! Hope the move went off w/out a hitch.

LOL I'd say he is at the top! LOL Sure you can blame breastmilk for it! I do. :-) Of course I'm 6' tall so that may have more to do w/ it but I know the bm helps.. I don't think him not rolling over is anything to worry about. Shoot, he is too big to get over. :-)

We sang Happy half Birthday to Elise and she just laughed and laughed. It was very cute. She also got her 1st taste of food.

I too HAVE to get more active. I have a wedding in Aug and I HAVE to lose this weight. (35 lbs)
Oh, I'm scared of crawling! LOL I'm not sure I'm ready for it. I know V isn't she likes having all her little toys around. It will be hardest on her when Elise starts crawling or maybe the dog b/c she will chase him! LOL

I will be praying for his safety as he is out fighting the fires. And I'll be praying for you too. I know how hard it is to be away from DH. I'm glad you went to family. I wish mine was close enough to do that.

How awesome that you get to see all the milestones this time! Its awesome huh?! HAPPY BDAY to your ! You are making ME feel old! LOL I'm always cold so when she is next to me she keeps me warm! Another GREAT reason to co-sleep! LOL

Oh YES, we have HUGE separation anxiety. It started the day she turned 6mths. I can't walk out of the room w/out her SCREAMING! I walk back in and she smiles! She doesn't really cry its more of screaming at me like "MOM, where did you go!" Its almost funny. Elise has been saying HEY too. When DH comes home she'll smile and say "HEY DA DA DA!" He eats it up!! LOL

Which ones are you NOT doing at all and why?

I'm trying to get DH on board w/ delaying until at least 2 but he is having a hard time w/ it b/c he wants them ALL done and on schedule but thats not going to happen. :

So what are your thoughts?

I was undecided for a long time. But when it came down to it, I decided against them. I didn't want to chance it with him, and anything going wrong. So, I went with my gut feeling. IMO, the benefits don't outweigh the risks. But, maybe I will get some when he is older. I am not sure. For now I am delaying indefinitely.

I will for sure not get any flu, chicken pox or Hep B.

we are not vaxing here either... I would certainly consider heroic meds if Kashi ever gets really sick though. Like I am not going to vax for pertusis, for example, but I would certainly get some antibotics for it if she got bad whooping cough and couldn't beat with other methods within a reasonable time frame. But I don't want to go for the heroics as prevention.

it's a tough one isn't it? Each family must do what feels right for them....

we decided to vax. we are skipping hep B and polio for now. will revisit those later. it was a really hard decision to make. but i really trust my family doctor.

we will probably delay the MMR as well.

We are doing selective & delayed here too. We do one at a time only.

We start with HIB.
I'm undecided about Prevnar.
Then DT or DTaP. Preferably DT, but it's hard to get (here, at least).

Then my plan is murkier.
I'm unsure of when polio and MMR will happen (if they do). Probably when we plan on traveling for the polio & probably not until puberty for the MMR.
I'm going to skip Cpox, but if they don't get the disease by the time they are in their teens we will do titres and vax if they are non-immune.
