Nobody at Nurse-Out!

Okay, so I live in a town that is really big about cloth diapering and nursing, and such. Well, today there was a nurse-out planned at 5 p.m. at one of the parks. I go to a breastfeeding support group and an attachment parenting playgroup and both groups mentioned this nurse-out this week and many people sounded excited about it. Well, guess what! Dh, dd and myself went and not a soul was there for the nurse-out! I was so upset. Dh, of course made fun of me, because I was excited about taking a stand and nobody else cared. Well, we went to Borders instead and I got a drink and nursed her there. I'm still making a stand. I'm going to nurse dd wherever I go. That's the beauty of nursing! It's so convenient. Okay, I needed to vent. Sorry. Please, nurse your babes wherever you go and don't be ashamed of it! It's a beautiful thing!

What?? Where was the nurse out?? I never heard about it and I am in Kansas too.

It was in Lawrence. I don't think it was well advertised. It was, perhaps, just spread by word of mouth. Although, I did find it on the internet. Oh well.

There was one here but I was not able to attend due to it was at our aquarium which has an admission fee. They said next year they will try a park, but the 23rd is our walk for breastfeeding in the park, so that's as good. Oddly enough, it has not been that well attended in years past, even by fellow LLL members, not sure why.
