In a nutshell, we have a very challenging 4 year old who needs constant (as in continuous, can't be left for 2 secs) supervision. She is always attention seeking, gets into absolutely everything, lots of power issues.
She has a sister who is 20 months older, and a brother who is 19 months younger. I am very hard of hearing which creates great parenting challenges as I don't hear what they are doing..... Also we have just made our 3rd long distance move in 3 years (9 months after the last one) and we have one last long distance move next summer.
With all the moving/packing/unpacking, and difficulty finding part time help in cities where we know noone I am completely frazzled and well beyond the end of my rope (which frayed off months and months ago) Our children who used to be very well mannered, including the very spirited middle one. The last year, life has been totally derailed with 2 job losses and 2 long distance moves, homeschooling has been sparse and fragmented and our children have become out of control from too much time being spent looking for things, trying to unpack/put houses in order, close out utilities, get new ones etc....
I'm wondering if someone can recommend a good book (for the super time starved) to help quickly get the children back in control especially the super spirited demanding 4 yr old.
This sounds like where I want to be:
The Secret of Parenting: How to Be in Charge of Today's Kids--from Toddlers to Preteens--Without Threats or Punishment by Anthony E. Wolf
but I need to know how to undo the last year or two firs
