I hit the hand-me-down jackpot!

A friend of mine just dropped off a TON of baby stuff. A new boppy and cover, a new electric breast pump (well, used once), a whole bunch of bummis super whisper wraps, a ton of sleep sacks, onesies, a baby tub, a moses basket, a snuggly car seat thingie, and a ton more stuff that I have not looked at yet. I am so freaking excited! And my MIL is furnishing us with a few weeks worth of disposable dipes (we will use those the first few weeks), wipes, and a changing table pad!

Ya know, call me cranky but why the hell aren't the broccoli, carrot, and banana dancing in unison? : Oh, if that were my only thing to be crabby about....

dang broccoli... not following along! Maybe he is too top-heavy.

Maybe I should go to bed. Apparently I am over-tired...

hmmm i watch and that banana just stands there like a moron. lol sorry i'm a bit on edge too. annoyed. irritable. tired. overwhelmed. :

and megh keeps nagging me to get her an orange when she can reach it fine herself. and now she is asking me to open it. sigh i'm just tired and feeling totally detached from life. i'm stressed about money and annoyed w/ my mom and annoyed w/ my former relationship w/ tom that has made me even more distrustful/disgusted in men and saddened by my dd's rageful/detached behavior. oh i'm being summoned again to open this darn tangerine thing.

that stuff sounds great, maisiedotes!!! i have decided sheamas has too many newborn clothes but oh well better too many than not enough. and i scored on a mini co sleeper today for $45. woooop!

I hear ya! I had NOTHING for this baby to wear except 2 sleep sacks and the dreaded "stripes are slimming" sleeper up till a week ago. I now have enough clothes to dress the ENTIRE board's babies for the first 3 months...

If you ask me, that brocolli has got some problems.
Glad you got so much baby stuff, always nice to get things you need.

that has always bothered me, too!

in terms of the actual topic of the thread, though, i lovvvvvvve hand-me-downs! they give me a warm and fuzzy feeling.

How exciting on all the baby stuff!!!

On the other subject, it actually bothers me that all the LOL's are in unison. I like that the carrot, banana, and broccoli are not in unison. Sounds like I'm in the minority. Hmmm...

Congrats on all the good stuff. Sounds like you are all set...

Btw, mamas, dancing bananas? You are getting ticked off by the banana? Gee, you must be pregnant!
Sweet! That's quite a score. Now you don't have to worry if everything you get at your shower is pink!

First, WRT the actual post - hand me downs do rock! Especially because if they are not going to work for you, you can give them away without feeling any guilt and then feel good about helping someone else out.

As far as the dancing fruits and veggies - I feel sorry for poor broccoli there, trying so hard to get it together. Totally my style (dancing wise).

I bet the broccoli has stinky dog farts. I'm just sayin'. And I would be FINE with it if the carrot and banana didn't dance in unison NOR did the broccoli- but I feel bad for the broccoli because he is the only moron not in perfect time. Like the annoying person in every crowd who does not clap at the right time during kids songs... stupid broccoli.

Yeah for hand me downs! I got lots of hand me down maternity clothes, and was hopping for baby stuff too--especially clothes, but so far have gotten nothing...

Oh--and I love the mistimed fruits and vegies--its how we dance in our house...

I can't believe that half this thread is about the broccoli.

That's a great haul, maisiedotes. I've gotten a couple of nice hauls, but nothing quite that fabulous. You may want to consider writing your friend a thank-you note. w00t!
