Mamapam: did you subsribe or did you add to favorites? there is a difference. When you pull up the content producer profile, click "subscribe", then you have to click subscribe a second time.

Hitting the second time was what I had been missing. I wasn't reading carefully enough. Thanks!

I have to toot-toot my own horn! I submitted 4 of the C4Cs about pregnancy related stuff that were potentially to be used on mommy.com. One I got the offer and it published at AC yesterday. BUT! One of them they offered me higher than the call! It said in the call that they might do that for exceptional content!

It is still in processing, so I wonder if that means that it will be used at mommy.com or AC? Regardless, the offer was almost 3 times my usual offer lately, so I was thrilled!

The other two are still waiting, so we'll see what happens with those. Fingers crossed.

I might make my monetary goal by next Thursday afterall!

That's fabulous Kelly. The article that published at AC is one of your best of your informative articles, I think. I am anxious to read your others in the series. I always thought you'd do well with fertility articles, given your knowledge base. Keep us posted!

Howdy! I just signed up for AC last night and I am eager but nervous because I have taken a loooong break from writing anything at all. My writing bones are creaky

SO. I'm sure this has been asked and answered but my lunatic 8 mo won't give me more than a minute to post...how do I subscribe to you all? Do you PM me your page? If thats so, please PM me. I'd love to read your stuff.

I am getting so aggravated with the C4C's. That mommy.com stuff would have been perfect for me, considering my usual content, but it never appeared in my C4C queue. I'm always getting stuff for videos (which I never do) and political stuff (again, never do) and then the generic ones like where to get a flu shot. I think it's a cool program, but it's really sucking that it's not spread evenly across the board.

I dunno... maybe I need to be more active to get the good calls. It just really sucks that I keep hearing about all these calls taht would be perfect for me, and they never appear on my Account screen. It's frustrating.

ETA: Perhaps is it that I'm just not on the computer at the right time? When are these things appearing in you guys' C4C box? (Denver time, of course, or tell me your time zone.) I'm typically on early in the morning or in the evening, and they're never there when I'm online. Maybe I need to rearrange my day so that I can be at the computer when they're sending out the calls so I can snag one or two.

Queenbean - My C4C box is usually empty too except for the lame "where to see Christmas lights in Seattle (or any city that is no where near me)" ones. I figured all the good ones were spoken for before I even saw them. It never occured to me that they were giving different ones to different people. It's a possibility though.

To New AC writers - please e-mail me your links. I may not respond right away because I am doing Nano now, trying to get ready for Christmas because I will be 8 months pg then and tyring to get ready for my son's science fair. But, I will subscribe and read your stuff soon!

Kelly - Congrats! You are really on a roll with AC now!

Ditto on the C4C. Mine seems to be all politcal stuff or local stuff somewhere else. Not up my alley.

Newbies- PM me your links.
This was the first time I got decent C4Cs. There were 11 of them, all about pregnancy/parenting stuff with potential publication at mommy.com. M2L and I were talking about them in the AC forum, because they actually sat in my queue until the due dates. It was like no one was claiming them, or they had no limit for how many people could claim them. It was bizarre.

I was away in Bath for the weekend and was only able to do 4 of the 11 offers anyway. These are the only ones I've seen lately. The others I that get offered to me seem to be grabbed too quickly!

netty -- WELCOME!!

You can get people to pm you their CP link and add subscribe to them. You will then get an email that will tell you they have a new article published and a link to check it out. That helps everyone with Page Views (which pays you!)

Right now I'm working on a Master List of all the MDC/AC writing mommas!!

Feel free to ask anymore questions that you have and please do pm me your link!

I haven't done any of the C4C, because most of mine have been about TV shows and we are TV free right now.

I just got accepted at Suite 101. Who all writes there again?
Evies Mom - I write for Suite. I love it. They give GREAT feedback. I've only got 20 articles up right now. Congrats! Pm me your link.

I haven't written anything yet, but hope to soon. While I enjoy AC, there are a few aspects that I have been getting frustrated with. I'd love to pick your brain about a few things. I may start a SUite thread later on when I get some free time. Anyone at Suite please PM me linkies.

Thanks!

We had a Suite thread going awhile ago. It's buried now though. Feel free to ask any questions you like, though I am still learning as I go.

I have been very happy there over all. They do give great feedback and they really seem to nurture their writers along, instead of the guessing game that AC is. I know my net writing has improved considerably since I started writing for Suite. My page views at Suite are through the roof right now, especially on my holiday articles. Your personal stats page will be updated daily as soon as you get an article up. It's a great resource to figure out what is working for you and what isn't. They even tell you how people linked to your articles. I was happy to see that some people had linked to mine in their blogs and on a parenting message board that I had never even heard of before.

I hear you on being frustrated with AC. I will continue to write for both because I don't like to put all my eggs in one basket, especially when that basket seems to have holes in it, like AC does - lol.
