Moms who crochet their own wool soakers

What's your favorite pattern? I don't knit, but can crochet anything. I have found more knitted patterns than crochet, but have found about three online.

Do they work as well as one that you would buy, and what yarn do you prefer?

I've never used a wool soaker, and thought this would be the cheapest way to test one out! Plus you have to love a new crochet project!

Could you please post links to the crochet patterns or PM me? I'd love to crochet soakers...I tried learning how to knit and I just couldn't do it!

Thanks
Kate

sure! here are the ones i have collected.

some of these are knit & some are crochet. the pics aren't that great. http://webhome.idirect.com/~born2luv...ochet%20soaker

this one uses both crochet & knit but i'm working on converting the knitted part to crochet, which shouldn't be too hard. i love this pattern! http://www.angelfire.com/biz/mothers...s/crochet.html

this one is really different, you could probably make the front wider and use aplix/velcro instead of having to pin it. http://hometown.aol.com/abmercer/TickleTurdle.html

I am going to make some prototypes with acrylic yarn to see how they fit over a dipe before i use my wool yarn. we will have to keep each other updated on our progress!
