LDS Mamas and Papas #47 - Page 17

Bronwyn, love and prayers to you! I had a major bleeding episode with DS, #2, at 13 weeks along, and thought I was miscarrying. It turned out to be completely unexplained bleeding, and DS of course turned out perfectly healthy. I guess there was a little spot on the placenta that the midwife thought could have been the source of the bleeding, but even that was just a guess. I hope your bleeding will turn out to be nothing!

The idea of a commune would mean I would have to socialize, right? Well, as long as it was this group of ladies, I guess that wouldn't be a problem But I'm seriously NOT moving back to Western Washington. Grew up there, and didn't discover until after I left, for sunnier skies, that I have some major seasonal depression. Every time it gets gray and dreary/rainy now, my mood just plummets. And to think I lived with that most of the year when I was growing up!! Anyway, my vote is for Colorado

Alisa, I'm sorry the sleeping is coordinating well! I know when I get tired, the first thing that makes me feel like I'm going to go over the edge is when one child won't cooperate and sleep when they need to, and/or ends up waking up the other so I have to start all over again. I hope it improves for you. Toddler sleep can be soo so so frustrating.

OH gosh Bronwyn my prayers are with you. I hope you don't join me on this rollercoaster.

Speaking of, I don't think I posted but it officially started Tuesday. The morning times are fine - by the end of the night when we go to bed, I'm doubled over in pain and can't breathe, and TMI but it just gushes. I almost thought we were going to have to go to the hospital last night, and to top things off, DS refused to go to sleep until 3:00. After a month of nightweaning with no issues, on the worst possible night he decides to scream and refuse to sleep without nursing.

I'm dealing. DH was off today and I essentially did absolutely nothing. I think the reason the pain is worse at night is because I don't do much during the day, then when DH gets off I start cooking and straightening before he gets home. I'm more active at night and apparently I've been way overdoing it. I feel incredibly lazy not doing ANYTHING but if it'll keep the pain away...

Sending lots of prayers for Bronwyn, Moonprysm and Alisa

One of my friend's told me about soap nuts. It's a type of nut that can be used to clean laundry, just throw it in the machine and it desolves and is a natural soap. They cost an arm and a leg so it might pay off to have a big orchard of soap nut trees and sell them online. Maybe if we start a cohousing the men could have their regular jobs and we could all do the soap nuts on the side. Hopefully the men could eventually just focus on the soap nuts if they wanted to.

Thanks everyone. The bleeding and cramps seems to have stopped and we still had a decent Thanksgiving. I have no idea what it was, but I hope that was it.

I would totally vote for Colorado. Dh and I had decided we really wanted to move there. He applied for a job there, and that's how we ended up here. The company's branch there didn't want him, but the one here did. Go figure. But it's still on our list.

Quateralien, I missed the scary news. I'm glad it's stopped now and hope it's nothing more.

Dh and I love Ft. Collins, CO. Gorgeous.

Yeah, ABQ is Albuquerque but easier to type. There are lots of engineers here, along with military personnel, sunshine, and wind. Oh, and today -- snow!

I didn't want NM or AZ but this is where we were meant to go, and I was wrong about it. It's gorgeous here.

I made this discovery when I got out of the shower. Connor wasn't asleep, but he was cuddled in. I kind of startled him when I took the picture, which is why he has an odd expression - but I couldn't resist.

I just received my December Ensign today (about a week and a half after I received my November Ensign!). The first presidency message is beautiful!

I hope mine comes today!
Dh helped me clean house today. It looks so nice. I just wish it would stay like this. And E is taking a nap, on his own, in his sleeper. Wow, my arms are empty.:

Supercute picture!

We need to resubscribe to the Ensign. It lapsed right around the time we moved so we let it be till we got settled in. Four months later...

I liked the first one the best. I really enjoyed them as a completely fluffy read, though. The other two are still just as teen-ish as the first. Except with more angst. I rolled my eyes a lot during the second one. But if you liked the first one, you'll still like the next two, I think. Though in some ways, I wish I could have just read Twilight and not known what happened in the next two books.

The girls are both sick today, so I'm home today, again. Today would have been Rose's first Sunday in Nursery. I was really looking forward to it, too! I was actually supposed to sub in the nursery today, but no way was I going to with two girls with runny noses and coughs. I actually gave my DD1 cough syrup last night to help her sleep, because she was waking up in coughing fits a lot. I figured a small dose of just plain cough syrup would help her get a little more sleep, and it did. I was going to tag team watching the kids this morning since I am the ward chorister and DH is teaching Elders Quarum, but DH may not be at church next Sunday so he wanted to attend sacrament meeting today.

I started decorating for Christmas this weekend! I can't believe it's only a month away! We're going to go real easy on gift giving this year. We usually give nice gifts to everyone in DH's family but we usually just get a plate of cookies or something in return, so we decided we're going to make edible Christmas gifts this year as well. We'll get a nice gift for DH's dad and grandpa, that's it. In my family, we do a gift exchange so I'm not worried-- I just need to get gifts for one brother and family and my parents.
