Dinosaurs!?

Dd1 will be 4 in January and has recently become enamoured of all things dinosaur. Fortunately we happen to live in a city with a reconstructed T-Rex at the museum, hopefully we'll be able to go in a week or so . . . other than that, though, I'm looking for resources - books, websites, etc.
I'm thinking that making a dinosaur lapbook might be a lot of fun - I know that I'd be doing most of the work, of course . . . is she too young for that kind of thing, do you think? I could suggest she paint a dinosaur to put in it, we could find pictures and such - she doesn't read yet, but is becoming very interested in "What does that word say?".
She's been using her magnetic drawing board to draw a dinosaur that "loves leaves to eat, but doesn't love people to eat", so she's already learning about herbivores and carnivores
Any other suggestions?

I love homeschooling

Have you checked out Dinosaur Planet?

There is a great pop up book called Prehistoria - Dinosaurs. It gives a little bit of info about each one (around 20 or so) and has little pop ups in the corners. It's a blast.

You also might want to look at finding Actual Size or Prehistoric Actual Size. The books take parts of animals and show really how big they are - a gorilla's hand takes up most of a page next to a tiny field mouse.

Get some plaster of paris and take casts of your footsteps, animal prints, whatever. Aliki (I believe) makes some great, age appropriate books about dinosaurs and going on digs.

If you get the chance to see Walking With Dinosaurs, it is so worth the money. We went recently when it was in our town. Incredible. My son loves all things dinosaurs. But let me tell you, when that mama dinosaur walked out on the stage, he dove for under the seat.
