AF or pee?

I am not sure what it is that I am leaking. It's not enough to soak a pad but definitely enough to soak a panty liner within 30 minutes. It's clear and completely odorless, maybe a bit on the sweet side.
I have no clue. I never thought I'd have to ask such a dumb question, this is my 3rd child. This pregnancy is really leaving me in the dark about a lot of things, I felt more confident about my body's signals when I had my first!:
Ok, big storm moving in this weekend and I am 40 wks and 4 days. My babysitter is leaving the country on Monday and I need to get this kiddo OUT!!!!!

sounds like af to me. when my water broke it was a huge gush but then kept leaking for another few hours. it was clear and odorless but a bit thicker than pee and obviously i couldn't control it. sending you labor vibes!

I think your taking advantage of the storm!! Sounds like AF to me!!

Too bad it so nasty out...I wonder if a walk would help cx along!! I am debating it here, but, I seriously might get blown away!

Keep us updated!!

I say its AF if its that much. I leak pee when I sneeze, but just a squirt, enough to dampen my undies but not soak them. It definatley would soak a panty liner. When my water broke with dd, I had an initial small gush, then soaked a small pad every 1/2 hour or so. It did NOT smell like pee. It was perfectly clear. I had my dh watch for the next gush to see where it was coming from to determine if it was my water or pee. Maybe do some light exercise to see if you start getting any contractions? Mine started within an hour of the initial gush. Lets hope it is labor!!!

I think I am heavy enough not to get blown away plus it's not that windy up here. But it is nasty out and every few minutes I will stick my belly out on the porch hoping that'll help with "LP System exposure" I am just too darn tired and exhausted to walk. My groin has been killing me over the past two days, every move hurts, the baby is so low.
I will take a nice hot shower now and go back to my couch and my Halloween candy (errr, my kids' candy... - o c'mon, it's not like they are supposed to eat it all anyway, it's not HEALTHY)

Either I need more coffee or I have severe pregnancy brain, because I kept reading AF and thinking, Aunt Flo??? Am I in the right forum?

I think that the more pregnancies we have, the less we feel we know because there is such a range of experiences for even one body. Hope that this is it!! Best wishes for an easy labor!

I thought that I was the only one who had done this! With DD I couldn't be sure so he had to watch! Hilarious!

Sounds like fluid to me as well. Good luck!

Am I the only one who read AF as "aunt flo"? Sorry- I am a bit on the dumb side today. I hope it is amniotic fluid! How cool would that be? Another early Nov baby! And if you are 40w4d, it is about time!

Midwife told me to walk around bare-bottomed and if it's enough to actually RUN down my leg, then it's AF.

Good luck!!

You are not alone.

Annika, how are you doing?

I am such a brain donor too...

I saw this and thought "how could ANYONE mistake pee for blood??" AF as in Aunt Flo as in period , then I'm thinking, wait we're all pg or JUST delivered and nobody should be getting their period??? I am a goober!

OH, my vote.. amniotic fluid (the OTHER AF)

GRR, still here. BH like crazy but nothing else. Dragged my butt to Target today to buy some last minute baby things. No more leaking.
Today we got hit by a nice storm and I was hoping it would help things along. Both my other babies were born when low pressure systems passed thru. This one just has to be different, right? O gee, at least I think he's not gonna wait for the next full moon. Would he dare????????:::

okay, i realize its been like 8 hours since you first posted, but if you are still curious, i would take off your pantiliner, out on a clean pair of underwear and let the fluid soak your undies. then throw it in the dryer. if it is pee, it will smell like pee. if it is AF, you prob. wont smell anything.

No... I had to read the thread just to find out if this was posted to the right board...

Heck, I've been on watch just about every time I get out of the tub or shower since I can't reach everywhere so great anymore and DD is usually rushing me out of the bathroom. (She usually bathes with me) My only thing is that bath water is clear and odorless, so even when I think I've dried well, sometimes I get that trickle that makes me wonder... And I don't have anyone here to check me. DH is 1200 miles away...

You guys crack me up, no, I don't wanna see THAT "AF" for at least another year...
Sitting here at 4am being ticked beyond belief again. I woke up about 2hrs to some strong contrax, waited an hour and tried to rest in between. I could barely breathe thru them. Also had some blood tinged discharge. So I decided to take a hot shower and now they are gone. Man, this really sucks. I'm gonna have some cereal now and go back to bed. Tomorrow I need to have a talk with this baby!

Anna, not to totally steal the thread, but...will your dh be back soon? Or are you planning to birth alone? I knew he was away for awhile, but I assumed he'd be back for the birth. Did you go late with your last one?
