CBE's: looking for labor rehearsal exercise

Thread Starter
I'm looking for a labor rehearsal exercise to bring together all the info. covered during my class series. Something where a situation is presented ("you wake up with contractions that are crampy but manageable") and then the mom or couple has to choose an action ("you try to sleep," "you get up and walk," "you call your caregiver."). I thought I've heard of something like this that ultimately presents many scenarios and gets couples to thinking about how their choices can affect how their labor progresses.

Anyone know where I can find this? The closest I've located is something at childbirthgraphics.org. I think it's called "Penny Simpkin's road map to birth." If anyone out there has used it, did you like it? Not like it?

Thanks in advance for any help--it's appreciated!!

A GREAT resource for educators and doulas looking for FREE and FUN material

Janelle Durham, director of local childbirth organization in Seattle has her own great website full of ideas for childbirth educators. She has games, class outlines, activities and up to date statistics. All the stuff is offered freely for copying and downloading.

I have used her labor rehearsal stations before in class, and it ROCKS.

Also, check out Teri Schilling's Passion for Birth website and blog, she has lots of good teaching ideas, just skim through previous blog entries
