Our librarian recommended this as one of the nicest magazines for girls. Does anyone get it? What do you think?

How much do they push the dolls?

TIA!

My daughter has always loved it...since she was about 7, and now she's 15, and she STILL loves it, lol...Of course, she's very into the books and the dolls, but the magazine itself isn't much about the books and the dolls, but more about ...well, crafts, recipes, ideas for homework and slumber parties and dealing with friends and siblings and how to braid your hair and make christmas cards and...lots of cute stuff, very main-streamy, but still very cute

My dd is 12 and has gotten it for several years. She's never been into the dolls at all, but enjoys the magazine. It's nothing deep, just a fun mag. She likes the stories about other girls and the crafts.

My 13 year old likes it. I don't think it's about the dolls much at all.

Another VERY GOOD magazine for girls is New Moon.

My DD didn't like it, she thought it was too fluffy. She loves New Moon though!

I ordered it for my 12 year old niece. SHe really likes to do crafty kinds of things and has enjoyed the magazine. If my daughter was older I would order it for her. But alas she is only 3. So we will have to wait.

It's sort of like Martha Stewart for young girls.

I think they announce some of the new dolls coming out, but that's it on the doll connection.

my dd loves it and she has subscribed for about two years or more. She is 13 and loves crafts and decorating.

Sounds perfect for my dd. I don't know where she gets it, but boy does she love crafts.

New Moon looks very cool too-- I may keep that in mind for Christmas!

Thanks everyone!
