There are 2 that I have used. The first is next to Assimba/Cat Fish Corner/Lalibela off the corner of Cherry and MLK in the central district. I can not for the life of my recall the name of it, even though I lived 4 blocks away for 3 years and attended school in the area for 4 years. I love Assimba, the best Ethopian restaurant IMO in town. I went to school down the street and ate there every other day in HS...a veggie combo was $6 and fed 3 people in 1995ish

They make the injera for the market nearby. It is a good market, has a lot of stuff and is cheap.
Our house is in Lake City and there is a tiny Ethiopian convenience store there right on Lake City way just south of 125th. Again, I don't recall the name.

It just sells basic items like prepared injera, spices and then the regular convenience store junk like chips and cola and stuff like phone cards.
I get a package of prepared injera there 2-4 times a month. Try as I might like too, there is no way I am going to master making that bread on my own. I also get the butter and the spices there as needed. berbere is my main spice I get there. It is $4 for a tub and lasts a long time. Lentils, greens, peas, cabbage it is all so cheap and so filling and healthy when prepared the right way. I get the lentils and most ingredients in bulk at the co-op or regular store but shop the Ethiopian markets for the best spice prices, the seasoned butter and the convenience of prepared injera.
I will drive by the one on Lake City Way and send you the name.
